That article leads to an assumption that the only charge against Southampton is spying on Boro.
Is that really the case? If so, how can the information about it being 'systemic spying' be excluded?
Also, why are they only sitting tomorrow? I assumed they've already been sitting, but were commiting to delivering a verdict by tomorrow. Crazy if that is the case given the short timeframe until the final.

Other teams didn't want to get involved apparently.

They aren’t going to kick Soùthampton out now, not at this late stage, points deduction and a fine mean nothing if they go up, the only other thing they could do is a very long, 2 years?, ban from football for the manager and all the coaching staff effective immediately, if he’s on the touchline on Saturday, the EFL will have given the green light to cheating.

Yes they are, and I cannot drive this point home enough. If you are in any sort of rush to get anywhere after the game and using Wembley Park to travel either north or southbound YOU WILL HAVE TO LEAVE EARLY.

They completely block off the station under the bridge at the bottom of the steps and only let so many people through at once regardless of your protests that you’re going northbound not south, if you’re near the back of the crowd up Olympic Way it can take 90 odd minutes to get onto a tube. It’s then another half hour to get to Kings Cross.

Something to bear in mind if your train from central London is close to end of the game.
This is why I said **** it, and booked a hotel instead. Can't be arsed stressing about missing the train home

The EFL are totally complicit here. Not only did they put a rule in place without a penalty... they put a rule in place that actually allows the very thing that the rule endeavoured to offset.

The rule should have read. 'any team found spying at any time on an opposing team for any immediate or future matches will suffer the following sanctions.'

The rule must have been drafted after a liquid lunch paid for by a previously imposed fine.

Also, FWIW you get considerably less people heading west than you do going the other way. I imagine it will be much quicker to get a train heading in the wrong direction, get off after 1 stop, and catch a train heading back past Wembley

There's an opportunity for an entrepreneur to shift a load of binoculars to fans for the full football experience at Wembley.

Please tell me we're going to pass around some giant inflatable ones at the game.

It's screaming out for it. <laugh>

So which underground station is nearest to our end of the stadium?
Wembley Park is always best for arriving, it's close but mainly because you get to walk down Wembley Way to the stadium. I've always gone back from Wembley Central which is 20 minutes walk but the queues are less (but still substantial so there'll probably be a 10-15 minute wait there). I'd be interested if anyone has tried getting back from Wembley Park and how long it took to get to the platform?
I may regret sharing this but you only have to walk about 15 mins to preston road station and you can avoid all that nonsense on Wembley way and get on the metropolitan line. Takes you straight through Wembley park in the same direction.
I've seen this mentioned on a fan site as well, but it's nonsense. Google Map shows it as a 40 minute walk from our end of the ground.

Given all the potential headaches flowing from various decisions, I'm wondering if they might just say not enough time to make a decision, need more info, final goes ahead and decision given at a later date. Then they chuck them out if they win while hoping that they don't.

You'd think so. But of course we had a game called off with 15 minutes to go so nothing would surprise me.

Better than a 90 minute wait being corralled into a train at Wembley Park, no? I appreciate some folk might struggle walking that far though...
