If we try to look at it from more of a distance so to speak ....

Suppose it was the FA Cup. Brighton playing Brentford in the final. It's the FA but with same spying rules as EFL.

Brentford had played Bournemouth in the semi finals and been found spying at Bournemouth's training ground. Caught red handed; indisputable evidence.

Information emerges that Brentford had actually been spying on opponents in earlier rounds too.

Can you see any way that the FA would allow Brentford to go ahead and potentially lift the FA Cup? If they did that, then all integrity would be lost. It couldn't be allowed to happen.

Also, re-instating Bournemouth would not be the solution, as other clubs have been affected too.

How is that any different to this play off situation?

There is only one logical outcome ..... unless the EFL put money over integrity.

If we have been spying on other teams , why have they not gone to the EFL long before now ?

Indeed does anyone know if anyone bar Boronhavd actually stated they have been spied on by saints ?

Does anyone actually believe it would gain that significant an advantage ?
Just catching up on the thread so might have already been said but the effectiveness is irrelevant just the attempt is in violation of the rule

Despite all the did they gain an advantage discussions i think thats irrelevant, they sought to gain an unfair advantage, that in itself is cheating, whether its comical or not, the mere fact they tried is damning enough for me. I do feel for the fans, but rules have been broken, punishment should be such that no other club will attempt it in the future.

Me and the lad went there the last time and it was really cheap(similar to Glasgow prices).Am I right in thinking it's just opposite the underground and when you're going back towards Wembley would you change at Green Park?

Colourblind like you and I have to ask for line and directions on the big maps in the stations <doh>
There's a lot of confusion over this, there is no overground rail through Hammersmith. What you can do is walk 20 minutes to Kensington Olympia and get the overground there which is 3 stops to Wembley Central. BUT, only one train an hour goes direct, then there are another 3 trains an hour which will get you there by changing at Willesden Junction. You'd have to look up the exact train times but I would guess journey time to be under 30 mins if changing and under 20 if you get a direct train.

Looking at the online map for available seats there are still plenty available.
More blocks appear to be made available as other blocks fill up.
I imagine quite a few people will be waiting on the outcome of Southampton's disciplinary before committing to making a purchase.

Discussion over the weekend - would you take promotion without a day out at Wembley.

My conclusion was yes, but I’d miss the party. When we won league 1 there was nothing as it was all behind closed doors and our beloved owners at the time didn’t even acknowledge at our opening match the following season. To get another promotion without a celebration would be just weird. But I think this time Acun would do something even if it was an open day at the MKM with the squad and stuff.

No. Would I like promotion? Sure. Do I want a day at Wembley? Definitely.

My order of preference is:

Win at Wembley
Lose at Wembley
Promotion.

If we do win the final or get promoted by default I hope Acun organises an open bus tour - I'd come up from London for that. The Allams miserably stopped us having one.

I understand the sentiment but the money from promotion is so important that it trumps even a day out at Wembley for me. It would be disappointing if we don’t play at Wembley and go up but promotion in itself is more important for the long-term financial situation.
