For £20m?

I just think people are not following inflation particularly well, but regardless we can't complain about Howe only wanting players other clubs found and also complain if the club tries to unearth a few players themselves.

The two goalkeepers we have are not good enough and if people think we'll sign anyone even remotely exciting this summer, think again. I think It'll be more of the same, and maybe some relatively unknown young players.

At this point I probably need to ignore everything and save all my energy for an almighty “told you so” in September.

We're probably going to end up with a worse side. Howe won't want anything flash, because he's trying to get solid 7s each week. He's looking to keep his job safe, so we'll be more stoke city than Barcelona.

20 years old, from ligue 2. You’ll have to excuse me for thinking for a random, wild moment that we’d be after a first choice keeper this summer but then I remembered it’s Eddie so it’s going to be another 3 months of trying to add subs, because our first XI is clearly not worth upgrading.
We don’t buy promising young players. We never give youth a chance. Bad

Please let it make sense.

Sure. We need a first choice keeper because our options are dreadful. It’s not a position we need a 20 yr old from Ligue 2 in.

I said we should've tried to buy this young German winger Said El Mala last year as a replacement for Gordon, he just scored this goal against Bayern today...

Seems exactly what Newcastle don't like. Elanga for 55 million though.

Few things doing the rounds-

Tino wants to leave.
Hall wants to play in midfield.
Schar is not being retained either.

That’s going to be a lot of incomings.

Tino I would sell. Very good player but injured too much of the time.

Hall I would play at left back and explain he could be England’s left back for the next 5-10 years if he knuckles down.

Schar I was expecting would leave and again would thank him for his time as always tried and wish him the best going forward.

I had a thought that the modern full back needs to have a midfield ability. Miley dropped in seamlessly and whilst he’s Bruno’s heir apparent I wonder if just having him as a right back makes sense? We need full backs anyway just a thought.

I also reckon we’ll look to keep the 4231. I suspect Ramsey could deputise for Nick, but we’d still need a striker, and then you’ve got left and right wing to take care of plus another CB and a keeper to buy.

Ouch. Can’t see us getting the quality we need for that many spaces.

Or if we are selling Tino then playing Hall and Miley as wing backs with 3 at the back
