Putting out a statement like that is just like players surrounding the ref, trying to influence his decision by pleading for the opposing player to be sent off.

Surely not because Boro are the most moral of all clubs and would never ever do anything outside the spirit of the game. They're the Gary Lineker of boardrooms, the Ghandi of the dressing rooms, the Mandela of the football league.

Whiny whiny twats

Middlesboro demands to EFL.

1. St Mary’s is divided into 4 quarters and then put in each corner of England as a warning to all other teams never to come to their open training ground with an I phone.

2. That they get to sign any player they choose from Southampton on a free transfer.

3. Southampton pay for all the water damage caused in Middlesbrough due to a week or so of constant crying.

4. Tonda and Spors are sent to The Hague for spying in a European country and if found guilty to face a firing squad.

5. Southampton as a city is to no longer to exist and will now be known as Southboro and no mention of Southampton before or after the heinous crime was committed.

6. Dragan Solak to have a personal hearing in North Korea.

I’m sure they’re thinking of some more punishments?

-The canonisation of Steve Gibson

- No one allowed to wear **** jeans in Boro because it's just too triggering

-All shrubbery in England and Wales to be immediately flame throwered

-An automatic 3 points to Boro every time someone says a word beginning with S

-Possession of a Frannie Benali pannini sticker is an immediate death sentence.

I really want that as my little tag line thingy under my name on here, but learning to use Gifs has probably taken up all my IT skills for the next 5 years

one of my mates is mates with Ed Chamberlain who is currently at York races where boro are having a day out. He spoke with Gibson who said they are expecting £5 million and 6 points
I expect they will be complaining if they don’t get their bets right and put it down to Saints drugging the horses

The thing is about all of this is Gibson is being the big one trying to influence and bring us down. Maybe he forgets that Dragan Solak brought down his president, so Boro will be easy.
Whether or not they get what they want, whenever this fixture between the two clubs will make the local derby atmosphere seems minuscule, and it will go on for years!!

Middlesbrough FC – Club Statement

Middlesbrough FC notes the decision of the Disciplinary Commission not to permit the club to intervene in the proceedings brought by the EFL against Southampton FC.

The club regrets that outcome given we are directly affected by the matters under consideration and hold relevant factual evidence as to the events in question and their competitive impact.

The conduct at issue, namely the observation and recording of our training session ahead of a fixture of such significance, goes to the heart of sporting integrity and fair competition. In these circumstances, the only appropriate response is a sporting sanction which would prevent Southampton FC from participating in the EFL Championship play-off final.

We remain hopeful that the EFL, as regulator, will pursue such a sanction before the Disciplinary Commission in order to protect the integrity of the game, safeguard all member clubs, and deter any attempt in the future to obtain an unfair and unlawful advantage in pursuit of promotion to the Premier League.

The club reserves all its legal rights.
Boro getting desperate. They hired a leading legal expert on the expectation that they would be involved at the hearing. Am wondering if this provoked the (petulant) statement. Not sure the EPL, nor the IC, will appreciate Boro trying to influence the outcome of the proceedings.

I feel the exclusion of Boro could be construed as beneficial to us in determining the punishment.

Good afternoon, boys and girls. Good to see you are still as level headed as always, although I have only looked through about half of the thread.
I watched a Football Martin video with Alfie House and Alfie put some perspective into what expulsion would be equal to, as in
1. Equal to a 10 point deduction, to put us outside the playoff positions.
2. A fine that could potentially be £250 million, by stopping our chance of promotion.
He also cited some legal experts who said that expulsion would be excessive.
My personal opinion is that other than the photographic evidence and the whistleblower, is that they don’t have any other evidence to support their claim, hence trying to bring other clubs into it.
As others have said the only issue with the whistleblower is if there is a paper chain. We would hope that there isn’t but then we would have hoped that we wouldn’t have been so stupid as to do something like this in the first place.
Where the **** have you been? The politics team have been playing one short for most of the season.
