If someone breaks into my house and pinches my stuff, that`s a crime. If someone walks into my house because I haven`t closed the door, and pinches my stuff, that`s still a crime. But the insurance company will take into account my lack of diligence. Especially if everyone in the neighbourhood know I never close my door.

This is next level lol.

Talking about tickets being available on Saturday if we don’t appeal as the hearing is today <laugh>
Do they seriously think we wouldn’t appeal .

The thing I struggle with is that our main argument will be that we gained little advantage from this rule breach….which brings up the second thing I struggle with….why the **** do it

The insurance company would also take a dim view if I`d over-egged the claim, for example by stating said burglar had sophisticated equipment to carry out the heist (and there was anything worth pinching anyway!)

This is an independent enquiry not a court case…so legal arguments suggested by some will not apply.
Their remit, I assume doesn't include the punishment, just a verdict, guilty or not guilty, and presumably any extenuating circumstances. 99% of the population think we are guilty. It will still be down to the EFL to dish out the punishment.

we did what they are accusing us of. Man in a bush.

The ideal outcome would IMO be that they say we are guilty and a proportionate to the actual crime is £500k fine and 3 point deduction. They then explicitly say there is no evidence that this has happened before or it was sanctioned from senior management.

No they will issue the punishment as well with the EFL having right of appeal on whatever they dish out.

Our guilt quite obviously isn't in question - reliable sources all saying we'll not contest it but instead will offer mitigation.

And then batter Hull with the fans singing 'are you watching Middlesbrough'.

Yes, I guess that's right, the silence from the Club is significant, no admission, no denial, no slagging or abuse of anyone else, no feed back to the supporters just a calm approach hoping for mitigation of some sort?
