We're the perfect club for this as far as the EFL are concerned

-Not media darlings (Leeds, West Ham etc)
-A totally unassuming and compliant fan base
-No massive celebrity fans
-Unlikely to kick up a legal fuss.

I'm calling it now, we'll be kicked out of the play offs.
Are you doubting the ability of Craig David and Rishi Sunak to carry us out of this bin fire on their backs?

Blimey. Another person talking sense.

The football correspondent is funny though. "They could have picked up information on penalties." Sure, but there could only have been a penalty shoot out on the Tuesday and that's more than 72 hours after when the guy was there so it's irrelevant to the specific spying charge.
Exactly. If they were practicing pens, I'm sure we'd argue that this was scouting for the match on Tuesday and that's what they were preparing for.

They have also asked if they can decide the punishment too
Should be charged for interfering and placing unnecessary duress on an established process. Honestly if I wasn’t a lifelong fan of Saints and we get banned/relegated/fined into bankruptcy etc, then I would forever lose all interest in the game and find other things to do. This has got all the features of a deliberate effort by sections of the media, a ‘self generated sense of a deprived’ owner/club/fans, seeking to keep the story going that some in the North, especially the North-East, about those ‘rich easy living people’ in the South need to be treated vindictively if any chance arises. It isn’t an overwhelming view up there but it’s big enough to make headlines for those in dire need to attract national attention. So far I’ve not seen or heard anything remotely close to the garbage being put out there that justifies such undignified class warfare.

Got to be honest, many of the folk on here who didn't like my posts or opinions may have noticed I haven't posted for quite some time, and it is sort of similar to this post.

Been watching Saints for about 57 years on an off - mainly off nowadays due to other parts of my life - and my attitude is the same. I am a rapidly losing interest in all types of football. I keep posting on SM - I will stop soon - that professional football is full of cheats and liars, starting from the players and working your way right up to the owners - it is a typical modern sports/business, it is about money and being 'top', doesn't matter how you get there, just get there. No club is innocent and wonderful and does everything they can to be successful regardless of rules - the top ones are the worst ones.

Also of course the Premier League is crap. Unless you are owned by country with so much money they don't know what to do with it, you have no chance. A lot of people seem to brush past that - Hull City, Middlesbrough, Millwall, Saints, Bradford City in that division are points and goals fodder nothing else.

My interest is definitely fading and has been before this iPhone advantage Saints got.

In my opinion the term "Spying" is obsolete, this is the 21st Century, everything you need to know can be found, by asking the right questions using AI, there is no 72 hour curfew on that, it is available 24/7/365 and there are no rules to prevent it.

AI can't tell us what set piece routines another team are practicing two days before we play them.

That's verging on the level headed and sensible, option 8 it might well be. This would bring about a collective sigh of relief from the Saints faithful and hand wringing despair and wails of protest from the smoggies.
If it is what happens then it’s both Point 8 and 9 that would bring the despair. As any legal case from them will either be chucked out or settled for such a small amount that it almost won’t be worth it. They are talking about us funding a player or full squad rebuild

I’d like to think we have a good case that their entire lawsuit has been prejudiced by their behaviour and trial by media. If it were a jury trial we certainly would have that case (but it won’t be and won’t even make trial anyway)
