Talkshite reporting that the final may be delayed. Is this old news?
Hard to believe that. Wembley would have something to say about that and be hard to get a rebooking. Even allowing for my bias, easiest thing for EFL is let us play and then deal with the flak from Boro. Easier than facing a lawsuit from Saints.

BBC say that's not likely to be an option.
"But it is highly unlikely the play-off final could be rearranged. Wembley is booked up the following weekend, after which players will head off on international duty.
So this must be sorted well before 23 May."

Sorry to the decent ones of you on here but I really hope yous get the book thrown at you after the way you're players and some of your fans conducted themselves on Tuesday after the spying incident. Id be ashamed if it was my club...

Well if a Sunderland fan whose club aren't even in the same league as us, and are totally unaffected by any part of the allegations thinks we've done wrong we should probably just fold the club.

Thanks for your input. I'll petition to get St Mary’s knocked down and turned in to flats.

I think all clubs should try and mirror the morals and virtue of those in the North East who have never courted any controversy or fan problems. Absolute principled excellence at all times.

"An artist is planning to take legal action against Sunderland after the Premier League club printed what he claims is an image of one of his sculptures on its away kit without his permission.

Andrew Small, from Liverpool, was commissioned by Sunderland City Council in 2008 to create a sculpture, named 'C', to mark the end of the Sea to Sea cycle path.

Cyclists completing the Whitehaven to Sunderland route are greeted with a view of Roker Lighthouse through an aperture, carved into a six-and-a-half-tonne slab of black granite.

Sunderland has denied breaching copyright legislation in letters to Small's legal team, which is seeking a percentage of commercial sales of the kit or damages.
The 2025-26 away kit, manufactured by sportswear firm Hummel, features a repeating geometric pattern showing the lighthouse, viewed through a circular design resembling the sculpture's aperture."

I'd be ashamed if that was my club. I hope they have the book thrown at them.

Sunderland are investigating claims three players took part in a filmed sex session.

Sunderland are to investigate claims three of their first team squad took part in a filmed sex session.

Goalkeeper Ben Alnwick, midfielder Liam Lawrence and striker Chris Brown are reported to have appeared in a recording with a fourth person - an unnamed woman.

The trio could find themselves in hot water if found to have breached the club's disciplinary rules.

Sunderland marketing and communications director Lesley Callaghan, speaking on behalf of the board, said: "The behaviour of any individual that adversely affects the image or good name of Sunderland football club is obviously disappointing, and we will be handling this matter internally."

I am angry that my club has been tarnished in this way, and I'm angry that some idiot was filming Boro (so unnecessary) but if we are allowed to play the final I hope we absolutely batter Hull so there is no doubt that we are the best team in the championship and deserve to be in the premiership and in the future we will just have to live with being hated just like Millwall and Leeds do.:)

I think it’s been blown out of proportion. A little bit.
