Oh I seeThat bet exchanges are still offering 'odds' on Boro for promotion. But I'm not sure any traditional bookies are.

Of course it doesn't because that was before the rule was introduced.Or not.
A specific rule was introduced, but in the usual FA / EFL way fudged it by giving absolutely no guidance on the punishment for those breaking that rule. In the only previous case (before the specific rule was introduced) Leeds were fined 200,000 does that set the precedent?
I was just listening to TS. A Middlesbrough fan put it succinctly... he said over the ywpolegs they didnt win.... BUT they Southampton have broken a rule and if it had happened mid season and they were docked 10 points for the infringement they would have missed the playoffs. as Jordan says, if they get fined 500k it means nothing, if it means a 10 point deduction next time in the Championship it mends nothing,...
You said this yourself nearly forty posts ago. What's the source? Not been confirmed but apparently
One of the other clubs with evidence of southampton spying is wrexham
I have just seen a video of a Sky Sports reporter stood in the exact same location it is alleged the spy was stood. It is literally a road leading to a golf club. I dont see how this is going to be anything more than a ticking off a fine for unsporting behaviour. Its not like he has broke in. Anyone could stand there. The biggest crime here is the dickhead didnt think to go in his normal clothes and went in Southampton gear by the sounds of it.Not been confirmed but apparently

It doesn't matter where the offence happened. Nowhere in the rules does it specify that they have to have been trespassing or on the other club's property. This won't just be a fine.I have just seen a video of a Sky Sports reporter stood in the exact same location it is alleged the spy was stood. It is literally a road leading to a golf club. That whole area is private property with access to members of the publicIt doesn't matter where the offence happened. Nowhere in the rules does it specify that they have to have been trespassing or on the other club's property. This won't just be a fine.
I think if OLM's Boro leak of a Thursday decision is correct, then that gives us plenty of time to prepare. I doubt many of the players have got over their hangovers after Monday night's celebrations yet.
Bloody hell, he is learning!!You must log in or register to see media
Bloody hell, you are finally catching up Jim.Bloody hell, he is learning!!
Shape, lineup, set piece prep, penalty prepWhat can they realistically gain from watching a training session?
Not really unless it was imposed this season, and it won't be. Boro were wronged in what was a two-horse race to get to the final. Other teams may also have been spied on, which aggravates the issue and means perhaps they need to hold another hearing, but they have to deal with Southampton's transgression in a way which punishes them now and provides some redress for the wronged party. A forfeit 3-0 victory for Boro in the first leg solves the pressing problem.Points deduction would be fairest and easiest to implement.
Large enough and I think Southampton would be asking to forfeit the result.
Certain relegation would affect the recruitment and retention of players. May as well hold their hands up and try again next year with no handicap.
Mia culpa and at least protect their good name .....a bit.
