I was there, stared really well and then second half of the second half we were hanging on a bit, but good day out
Dont talk to my Wife about 'great occasion',she came to some of the league games I attended but we had 2 tickets for the Villa Park semi. She did the driving ,took hours to get there ,roadworks rather than the rest of the world looking for tickets to see WFC, got there just before KO,squeezed into the Holte End,she could see very little most of the game and was guided by crowd noise (Plymouth people were louder even tho losing from early on), we had got separated. Dont think I had to hitch hike home !
She did not attend the 1987 Semi at Villa Park again, the game when it looked like Graham Taylor would have to play in goal due to lack of alternatives Her excuse being heavily pregnant....fair weather supporter

That was my memory of it. Not the nicest fans I've ever come across, though. Only have to listen to the crowd when Digger got the ball.

1984... As an aside, "This Is England" is a pretty good film to watch if you're not familiar with life at the time. I really don't miss those days too much, to be honest, not at all.

Found these on Facebook.

One of Dundee's finest ever performances, an 8-1 victory over Cologne - in no small way thanks to one of our former players.

I remember those times well

I like that the article refers to the "controversial" defeat to Everton in the FA Cup

The first goal was offside and the second goal was an assault on our keeper BUT we could/should have been two goals ahead before their "goal"
I really doubt that John Barnes has ever missed a chance as easy as the one he missed that day.

I see Louza and Maamma have been called up to a Moroccan training camp so obviously could make the trip .

Selvik going with Norway joining Irankunda and Kayemebe at the World Cup .

Probably all subs .
