Scottish football? Interesting?
I still don't get why BBC Live Scores show Scots Prem results before EFL.
They have their own TV and radio stations up there. Leave them on there or at the most show them after EFL below the border.

I still don't get why BBC Live Scores show Scots Prem results before EFL.
They have their own TV and radio stations up there. Leave them on there or at the most show them after EFL below the border.
So both Championship play off first legs finish goalless. On what I’ve seen so far Southampton look the likeliest winner.
We'll be playing three of them next season and from what I've seen, we've got nothing to worry about............
Indeed, the only game that did finish with a winner was the West Ham v Arsenal game, and that result owed some of its outcome to controversy and VAR.Not much change in the PL today. 3 draws so far.
I watched the game and whilst I agree that the correct decision was made to disallow West Ham's late equaliser (there was indeed a foul or two on the Arsenal keeper Raya) my one gripe is that there were 3 or 4 Arsenal players doing nothing but blocking and wrestling with WHU players as the ball was swung in from the corner PRIOR to the foul that was ultimately awarded on Raya.
In my book there was probably a very good penalty shout for WHU in the lead up to the foul on Raya so why didn't VAR go back to that rather than take the 'easy' option and just pick the supposed 'key' moment that prevented the goal??
I'd also like to put it out there that IF Arsenal win the league and (heaven forbid) the Champions League they will be the most undeserving Champions for quite some time.
Their football nowadays is nothing like the old free flowing stuff or lovely passing team they became synonymous with and on times is like watching Stoke under Pulis (or even us under Warnock) and whilst I'm no football snob, and fully appreciate that thee are multiple ways to be successful, when you combine the whinging from Arteta, the play acting, falling over and general gamesmanship they now employ, even against supposed 'lesser' opponents it really does make them a dislikable team right now.

Spurs have been on the wrong end of so much ref and VAR crap this season it was wonderful to see a VAR decision, however dubious, go their way. Another 1.0 to the Arseanal.
To cap the season, Spurs stay up and Man City pip the Arse to the Prem.

Robbie I bloody hate it when City play Spurs, whether it is League or Cup. I have to sit on my hands and zip up my lips.
Spurs have to stay up and play the other CCFC. Takes me back to a dreadful game in 1987. Probably a great day for you, one of the best.

Cheers, avery happy chappy, the last time I was a Monsieur was at the World Cup in France in 1998. The tabloids were full of guff that if your name didn't match that on the ticket you wouldn't get in the stadia.

I think most of us that are over a certain age would agree the 3 up 3 down approach is the fairest way AND aligns best to the true ethos of what sport is meant to be.
Sure the playoffs are exciting and prolong the interest for more clubs, and it could be argued it gives "lesser" clubs like Stevenage in our division more opportunity to succeed and grow, BUT I still can't help but think if a team finishes 3rd and is for arguments sake 15 points clear of 6th, why should they potentially miss out when they have clearly been a better team over the course of the season? How is that fair?
I'm no aficionado of the egg chasing but the English Premier League I believe doesn't get decided on who finishes top of the table, they then have some bizarre playoff (is it just the top 2 or is there some game before that??) where 2nd (or possibly lower) could be crowned as Champions..... I mean WTAF
It’s not fair in the general sense but it does I suppose give more teams an incentive to not have dead rubbers. Next season of course it’s going to be even more expansive:
