People will always question it, but if an intern with a mobile phone leads to a 19 match unbeaten run in the Championship, we won't be the last to do it.Embarrassing, and definitely puts a question mark on out form imo.
It's too late to do anything about the play offs given we could appeal, doubt they'd go that nuclear anyway.Wonder what the punishment could be.
All the stuff about being kicked out of the play offs sounds like a nonsense to me and there is already a precedent with Leeds for a financial punishment instead, no?
It would be very difficult to expel us from the play offs. It would open a huge can of worms. Boro would have to be given a bye to the final and then Millwall and Hull would kick off.Wonder what the punishment could be.

A bit difficult to be kicked out with all the tickets sold but I think that should have been the punishment. It will be a fine but it needs to be commensurate with the infringement. Whoever sanctioned this also needs to be banned from football.Wonder what the punishment could be.

Honestly we should hold our hands up and plead guilty at this point. The EFL clearly want this matter dealt with promptly. Obviously a heavy fine is coming, just a question of what else. If a points deduction were to be imposed it would have to be for a future season. I don't think a points deduction imposed by the EFL can be transferred to the PL in the event we go up.
Massive fine (500k) and suspended points deduction would be my guess. It's too late to do anything about the play offs given we could appeal, doubt they'd go that nuclear anyway.
The Leeds one is slightly different as a specific rule wasn't in place then but was implemented afterwards.
Maybe but I just think the scenarios are completely different.Didn't the Leicester case mean points can be deducted across the two divisions?
Not a chance. There's no time to arrange the games, sell tickets etc for a start. Here we go….
“Southampton have been removed from the playoffs. They will be replaced by the 7th placed team in the league who were …. *checks notes* …. Wrexham”
We all know the script
Do we have any reference for a possible points deduction? Seems like an extremely severe punishment when there is already precedent for a financial punishment (I know they have changed the rules since, but feels off to hand different punishments for the same offence).Massive fine (500k) and suspended points deduction would be my guess.
