We need another striker. Im sure there's been plenty of games Sergej would have subbed McBurnie or not started if we had someone else who could lead the line
If the wage rumours are true, not sure City can afford to have McBurnie as a sub for many games - a 35k a week luxury..

Yes was told if we don’t go up we can’t afford to keep him. Little wonder his form has dropped off a cliff.
One name I was told we’re interested in is Ivan Bašić. Bosnian midfielder who currently plays for Astana in Kazakhstan. He played for Bosnia against Wales and Italy and was impressive.
Apparently, we tried to sign him last summer but it never happened. He only signed an 18-month contract with Astana so his contract ends in December 2026. From what I’ve seen of him for Bosnia, he’s the exact sort of midfielder we need.

Wouldn’t be against a mini raid on the Bosnian/Croat market. Sergej will obviously have a good knowledge and some good bargains available you’d think.
Seen a lot of the Kazak league and I’d put it fifth best and ye he’s quality

I think ‘proven Championship experience’ is overrated. Stoke have signed ‘proven Championship experience’ for years and end up finishing in the bottom half of the table every season.
Alternatively he could have seen it as 4 months to show the rest of the league how good he is.
