Really is a pathetic collapse.

One of the most annoying parts is if Wrexham do get something tomorrow, we'll then have to sit through another week of tedious "bring the noise, we need you" ****e while it's technically still possible we reverse it all on the final day, only for us to inevitably lose to Norwich and Wrexham win anyway. And then all the ****e about what a wonderful season it'll have been whatever happens, "and don't forget they've had injuries, and everybody wrote them off". I already couldn't be arsed with all of that ahead of today after Tuesday but a full week of it and having to do the dance of pretending to believe and get excited for the game only to be let down again. I'd almost prefer it to be mathematically over than do all that again.

I agree. Remarkably, it could be back in our hands tomorrow, but I doubt we've got any sort of bottle against Norwich.

I just want it done now.

Wrexham who have been starting players like
DAn scarr
Rathbone
Longman
James
Dobson etc

They even had 50 year old james mclean playing earlier on

Theres no talk needed about us overachieving
We should have been good enough

Its just a complete and utter mentality collapse

Something must happened behind the scenes, maybe Acun's been having discussions with the players about contracts for next season again...
We had 2 months to put things right!
I might not have another season in me following this-but I hope that I do! UTT

The full weeks holiday during the International break didn't do us any favours either. They packed their sun cream when we sitting comfortably in the Play Off's and talking about possible automatic promotion and since they returned we haven't won a game since. Wise decision?

We really are dog **** aren’t we, can’t wait for the season to be over now. Bottled the play offs more than Arsenal have bottled the league. So many **** players, hopefully Coyle never plays for us again but because he’s tough people let it slide how **** he is.

Although it's disappointing to drop out of the top 6 at the last hurdle, overall we've had a better season than most of us anticipated. It can take 3-4 years to build a squad that is capable of going up and staying up. Hopefully we are at the start of several seasons of progress. Injuries - particularly to the midfield have killed us all season and it comes to something when our midfield hopes hang on that league 1 player Regan Slater! A couple of robust (remember that word?) midfielders, an experienced centre forward to take some of the load off Ollie and a strong back up keeper would be my priorities.
Lunny, Gyabi, Drameh, Dowell, Famewo and Koumas can move on

I couldn’t muster a **** to give today. I had the game on in the background but wasn’t paying full attention. Even when we scored, I didn’t celebrate. We were never going to win that. Their arses had fallen out months ago and have been going through the motions since.

Jakirović’s tactics and general decision-making have been poor for a while but I think it goes deeper than that. You’ve touched upon the small-time mentality of the supporters recently about accepting mediocrity because of the transfer restriction and injuries. I agree with you but I’d go a step further and say this mentality is within the club itself, especially in the dressing room. Where I disagree with you is your defence of Coyle. He is the poster boy of this mentality, in my opinion.

I ****ing hate the overachieving talk. So small time it's embarrassing. Like you say Wrexham have some nobodies. Millwall have a team of nobodies and are going to finish top 3. Coventry's team on paper isn't even that crazy compared to the parachute sides. But we talk as if everyone but us has a star studded line up and we can't possibly compete.

We've got McBurnie, Gelhardt, Belloumi and Millar all been fit and starting for a while now. A brilliant front line, not sure we've had a better one at this level in the modern era. Do people honestly think our rivals have got better to pick from? Lundstram another previous promotion winner and PL performer on big money. At the back we've got Egan and Ajayi supposedly proven at this level as previous promotion winners, and then Hughes supposedly a £15m player. These aren't nobodies. And none of them are that old. Again, I wonder who do people who talk about us being limited think plays for our rivals?

The only real passion I have seen from Coyle this season was telling the South Stand to **** off... unfortunately he cant let his football do the talking. Maybe it does matter to him, but if it did, he'd ensure things we have seen including the street brawl last season, the video clips didnt happen and showing some leadership as 'captain'.

A lot of those wins first half of the season where games we where second best in and had some luck.
If you carry on being second best it eventually catches up .
Agree - but at times it has worked both ways - Watford away, Blunts away are 2 games that spring to mind

I've voiced it before.... this bloke Holden who came in as Assistant and stated 'its my job to look after the defence;... a man whose playing career peaked at Bolton and who incidentally his last managerial role was at Charlton ...then this goalkeeping coach who never played league football and managed 0 games in 4 years for Harringey, Hampton and Richmond and Boreham Wood... they couldn't train dogs to bark

For me, thats were we're at.... there was no one, thats NO ONE who had been there and done it, these are the people Serge had to rely on, plus a group of unprofessional professionals with one or two exceptions.

I dislike Wrexham that much if we could get Norwich over the line id help them. It would help us next season.
It's still wide open and it's going to the last game of the season.

'IF' Derby can grab 3 points today it wouldn't be beyond them to beat Sheff Utd in their last game and snatch it from both us and Wrexham.I'll keep a keen eye on their game Today then switch focus to Wrexham tomorrow.

It's not over yet but the way we are currently performing it's going to take something special to see off Norwich next week.

I kept my promise. Since the team was doing well this season, I refrained from posting usual critical comments, especially about Acun, and I also avoided from game threads to keep the good-luck charm going.

We still have a chance, since Wrexham will face top5 teams, while we face a team ready to enter vacation mode. On the other hand, I also agree that we don’t have momentum to pull off a miracle in the playoffs, if we make it.

My only wish from now on: Acun, please don’t do something stupid like firing Sergej, as you did with Liam. And please have a sensible transfer window. As we have noticed, the less Turkish directors are involved in transfers, the better their teams seem to do like Sergej’s former club Kayserispor, or Samsunspor, who had a miracle season under a transfer ban.

Edit...And then QPR score :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Hopefully it gives everyone a reality check. We aren’t good enough to go up and aren’t good enough to win the playoffs. We need 7/8 of robust decent players.

We should have made the playoffs offs but injuries and luck have meant our form has run out. This summer is a vital one. Everything needs to be steady behind the scenes, but we need to be savvy in the transfer market. We certainly don’t need to be signing any of the loanees.
