The upshot for many is that the ability to re-house last minute spares simply dies - I`ve got my ticket for Wolves away - there is a 50/50 chance that work will "get in the way" (I`ve got a trial starting on the following Monday and a mediation to try and settle the case on the Friday - if we settle I can go, if we don`t I`ll be working all weekend to get the final bits sorted for the Monday - I can hear the violins already!).

As "one of the 65" I don`t want to fall foul of the ticket office...

So I emailed them and set out the above...the reply being that if I can let them know on Thursday then the club can resell it - when I reminded them that I won`t know until Friday (probably late on) - the reply was "I can do my best to sell the ticket but I really can`t guarantee".

The thing is, I could previously guarantee it by asking the lad with the ban to re-house it...I wouldn`t want paying anything for the ticket - I`d simply ask whoever got it to chuck a few quid into a charity of his/her choosing...the outcome is that there is going to be a spare seat if I can`t go...

I also don`t trust the ticket office not to give it to a "pal" of someone within the ticket office...

You've hit a few nails on a few heads there mate.

Many of the tickets that are passed on are given away or with the promise of a pint at some point in the future.

As an exile you'll also know that tickets are exchanged on the day, or day before, when it's already too late for Sunderland based people to arrange transport, etc. I've passed on tickets to people on the Isle of Wight, Devon, Kent, etc as they've been able to get there sharpish. You'll also know people totally unconnected to either 'the buyer or seller' have carried tickets south to be passed on ...

... the whole 'organisation' is much more efficient than the ticket office to be honest.

What the ticket office clearly don't grasp is that the ticket cost is the least of it. Yes, we can all swallow £30 if we find we can't make it at the last minute but we can't always cancel trains, hotels, etc. So there's £150/200 gone south when someone else, without adequate points, could've gone.

But who is going to risk even giving a ticket away if their mate is ID checked ...

... supporters are being virtually criminalised for going to watch their team.

It's all way out of hand and needs sorting before the national media make an example out of Sunderland as the ticket office has with the 'Derby Day 65'.

Last night was a very good reminder why the club need to appreciate those supporters who have stayed loyal through thick & thin.

Dont know the answer, but i think its a fair assumption that many of of 65 wouldn't have left early (64 as club have main man banned!!!), those who have been refused downgrade SC's or those cant shift seats with refusal to all following disability changes, & others who ive missed who have been messed about. If any did leave early, i suspect it due to currently feeling a disconnect & realisation club dont see them as a supporter & simply a 'customer'.

Id also make a decent guess majority of the support at half time & end was from those who have been on the journey....& The boos were from those returning to games. Thats not critism of the boos or returning fans, more the realisation of expectations

We stayed until the end like, as did the loyal people who have sat around us for years now. Still clapped as the players walked around at the end.

Also liked the chant:
4-0 down, who gives a ****
Sunderland boys are stopping up

Later changed to 5-0!

We seem to have a significant number of ‘supporters’ who simply can’t handle, or maybe won’t tolerate a defeat.
Last night was a difficult watch but I just don’t get why so many failed to return to their seats after half time, especially in the noisily supportive Roker end.
My personal opinion is that it’s disrespectful to leave the ground before the game without compelling reason and so, as always I stayed and clapped off the players who for so long have given us their best efforts and, whatever happens next, a season to remember.
I struggle to get a ticket for every game and have failed to get a season ticket for next year, I wouldn’t have any problem if only half the fickle fans that walked out yesterday would chuck in their tickets!
I’m on the train home with nothing else to do so sorry for the rant, back to my book!

What’s this rumour that the club have sold Bradley Lowerys box, surely this can’t be true would be a ridiculous own goal @Smug in Boots have you heard anything?

Hi mrs em, sadly I've had to sit on this for the past week and say nothing.

I made a promise not to repeat what I'd been told and, like everyone else, was hoping it isn't true.

However, one of the lads Wakey posted on RTG today and spoke about it. We hadn't been in contact so the person who'd told me knows I didn't betray his confidence.

I was told the this box, which is used for various charitable uses, had been kept by the club and not offered to the BLF for next season. They offered to pay for the box but were told it had already been allocated, i.e. sold. The person who told me about this had approached the family and the club so was hoping it was a mistake or that they could find more detail and verify the 'facts'.

It's all kicking off now so the opportunity for discretion has passed ...

... with an upcoming game against Everton this could prove to be a major mistake from the club, if true.

Jermain Defoe has been contacted but hasn't responded as far as I know, as yet.

The rumour is growing arms and legs. We have to hope its not true and at worst a massive oversight from someone.

IF its true and the club / owners dont see an issue then god help us all

James Copley is preparing an article which will land tomorrow.

I don't know him well enough to say but I believe he's been hoping there was 'nothing to see here'.

What a terrible end to a wonderful season.

After condemning the Saudi regime I'd have no option but to suspend my support ...

... what happened with the 'Newcastle 65 and the derby' was shameful enough, this would be on another level.

If hes committing it to print then you have to assume this is true. Hes not one to post anti club things.

Tomorrow could just about ruin all this past 5 years have achieved

Isn’t it just, I’m heartbroken can’t help the team either for Saturday, same as last week with the RLB rumours and the result on Friday. Nightmare :(

Ive just watched that business of sport video with Tom Burwell and he talks a lot about customer focus, not alienating fans and being a community club.

Either himself or someone else needs to get a hold of these issues and come up with reasonable solutions or what he said is going to be empty words

Due to the on-going shambles at the ticket office, are we expecting our 1st payment tomorrow for the 26/27 sc to run smoothly??

What's transpired like? Didn't know this box existed TBH?
Yeah the club has allowed the Bradley foundation to use the box free of charge up to now.

The key point here will be if the club had allocated this off without even bothering to see if the foundation would buy (let’s face it us fans would probably raise the money to pay for the box anyway)

Some things are more important than money, if safc want to alienate the fans, they couldn't have done it more ruthlessly than the last few weeks imo. Let's see what happens with this RAWA meeting, but I see a situation where the fans can make it as messy as possible. If the will is there.
