I agree - Larin worked like a Trojan and was MOTM for me, Fellows flatters to deceive I'm afraid and Welington gives me nightmares every time the ball comes to him defensively.
If there was a player I would definately get rid of next year it would be Fellows, lovely lad but just doesn't cut the mustard for me and he couldn't score in the proverbial brothel!

Sadly that seems fair

I said it on another thread. Keep both and do an upgrade on archer and / or downes. Trying to find one quality striker is going to be easier then two

This seems like the sensible approach, but yeah hugely depends on what league we are in/how much money we have especially if we don’t go up

It’s going to be so close, but I just think we’ve left ourselves a bit too much to do to grab second.

Even if we win our last four, that’s 10 wins on the bounce after the six we’ve just had - and statistically that just feels like a massive ask. And even then, we’re still relying on Ipswich slipping up somewhere (Boro or someone doing us a favour), then we’ve still got to beat them and claw back the goal difference.

It’s the hope that kills you.

Mad to think that not even a month ago the dream was a playoff spot - and now it will almost feel like a disappointment if we miss out on automatics.

Bigger picture, secure third or fourth to get that home second leg in the playoffs, and go from there.

If the playoffs started tomorrow, I’d 100% back us to win them, we just need to keep this form going through to the end of May.

It’s keep Larin & Stewart and sign a CF that’s better than both for me!!

Said it before we started this season, we need 3 CF all fighting for that position in the Prem. That’s the level of that league

Complete Nonsense. Stewart is a clever forward and finds space. It is not one or the other, take both. Both will be cheap
Yes. One of the hardest things for a club like us will be finding good enough players to be squad options for positions like goalkeeper and striker. Even Spurs couldn’t do it on the striker side. Why do you think we kept McCarthy a long as we did? Who of any real ability was going to sign as obvious backup for a club our size.

So if we have players in the building who won’t be too costly to keep then we should really do our best to retain them.

But if we are being honest we are going to need better than both if we do go up. But if we don’t we should still be able to keep both - assuming they want to stay

Agreed. Larin is incredible. Definite MotM.

Wellington is a massive drop off from Manning, who is playing like prime Bertrand.

Don’t mind Fellows, but yeah, happy to see him replaced in the summer.

We haven’t seen enough of Larin to say he can be relied upon as a main striker in the PL. if we go up we will need another, Stewart’s injury record is a concern.

I think he is good enough for the pl though. But we can’t keep archer Stewart Larin and sign a new striker.

Win at the weekend and the pressure shifts to Ipswich to make the most of their game in hand as we’ll be level on points and with the momentum in our favour. I said a short while back I reckon we’ll beat them to go second

Yeah, my head is telling me we're going to just run out of games. My heart is telling me that we're going to do it on the final day in front of an away end of 6,000 at Preston (plus many more in the home end, potentially!)

The only concern is missing out on an automatic deflating the mood of the camp before the playoffs. But that's the most "Saints Fan" thing I've said for a while.

If we win every game then Ipswich need to drop points in 2 of their other 4 remaining games and Millwall (feel like nobody is talking about them anymore) need to drop points in one of their 4 remaining

Still a long shot even if we win out, which is not an easy task anyway
