Scary. Tbf, Trump is a manipulative con artist. Bluster and confidence can get you a long way with some people.
Now that Majorie Taylor greene has seen through him she is actually starting to talk sense. The MAGA worm is starting to turn

Perfectly put and backs up what I’ve been saying to friends today,
"The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing"

WTF are all the politicians and church leaders doing and saying?

Does no one have the courage to confront this egomaniacal lunatic ffs …

… they’ll all have blood on their hands by the end of this.

“What did you do in the war grandad?”

“Changed channel and poured myself a drink.”

That quote is used at the start of Robert Carlyle powerful three part portrayal of Adolf in Hitler: The Rise of Evil...its a misattributed quotation of Edmund Burke, including by John F Kennedy in a speech in 1961.

The ceasefire has to be welcomed but what happens next? Trump is famously unreliable when it comes to peace talks and deadlines, let's not forget there were talks underway which Oman described as promising when the US / Israeli attacks on Iran started.

Thousands of lives, and tens of billions of dollars later, we are back where we started. The Straight of Hormuz is open to shipping and the theocratic regime is still in charge in Iran. Iran's capability to strike out may be diminished but it's not gone.

I think and hope that will be it, now. The strait of Hormuz is open again and that is what Trump seemed most bothered about the last week or so.

Both sides will claim victory and move on. Hopefully.

Trump will claim that he's been successful with this, whilst Iran will probably claim a draw, having repelled Tango Man's advances . . . . after many unfortunate deaths that neither will be very concerned about, unfortunately.

Then in a couple of weeks, if agreement hasn't been reached, or the ceasefire observed properly, it will start again :emoticon-0108-speec
