Seriously, as we’ve seen with the likes of Brobbey, players want to feel part of something whether that’s a vision, a style or even ‘a family’ as they’re always saying. What can Newcastle players feel part of, in reality they don’t really know who owns the club although they probably think they’re not particularly pleasant people.

I suspect they’re only there for the money to be blunt.
Very true, that showed as well with the ownership being on a coach behind the players, arriving at the ground together and being present on the pitch before the game with them. As if we're all in this together. Then recruiting the correct players with the right mentality to buy in to it all.

Not just a case of throwing money at it and hoping it solves all the problems

As much as I'd like to finish in Europe/above Newcastle I would find it hilarious if Brentford do it.

Wissa virtually begged to go to Newcastle and has been made to look as foolish as the club ...

... he's 30yo soon, barely plays and probably won't be playing in Europe next season.

He and Woltemade look like they can't stand the sight of each other.

Unless they think Eddie Howe is a great coach they can only have gone there for money.

It's been said about the mags game being Geertruida's best game for us. I thought he'd been steady and useful, but last Sunday showed his huge character as well as ability. In fact Cloughy would be impressed by the number of big hearts when looking around our team bus.

Great post mate.....there was some monster performances in this game....truly remarkable to watch. I think I posted when the team sheet came out the spine of the team...Brobbey, Xhaka and Alderete would make us very hard to beat but I have to be honest the O9's, Geertruida's Rigg, Talbi's etc were just awesome. Still some 5 days coming to terms with the performance....in a good way :-) soon as I get out of work....got the highlights on.....love it!!!!

Someone, earlier this week, mentioned a Mag player being hit by a sniper's shot ...

... Northumbria Police have just released this photo and asked for witnesses <laugh>

Even for Northumbria Police that's a piece of piss to resolve. You can clearly see the bloke in black and white pointing the gun

That's him! Joe Willock. He had ambled slowly back after giving the ball away cheaply, then he does that! He'd only been on the pitch 30 minutes!
