I can't believe how Le Fee left Hall for dead in the move for that goal. I thought Hall was a decent footballer but I would be raging if one of our players let his man go like that.
Ive watched that a few times now and there so many examples of no effort from their players its ridiculous. Hall didn't track le fee, livermento stood there like a statue as brobbey got the ball twice, 2 players megged, joelinton not closing xhaka down and then jogging back, Murphy jogging back then stupidly shouting for handball, then thiaw collapsing like hes just been shot by a sniper.

It wasn't even a great pass from Sadiki. Pushed Le Fee a bit further wide. Who cares like.

Aye but they have better players than us :emoticon-0105-wink: :emoticon-0102-bigsm:emoticon-0102-bigsm

There will be young kids absolutely baffled as they are too young to remember or been around when we were in the premier league and the 6 in a row etc... they won't know how long its been since they beat us and all they will have heard is ****e from mag adults around them!

Been told we are ****e a joke etc... us actually being as far down as getting beat by ****e teams in league 1, that fa cup game and then they will have heard how its 6 easy points for them. They would have been expecting easy wins and who can blame them when ya have adults like the it'll be 10-0 fella!

KLD was only 13 years old the last time the mags beat us in the Premiership.

Since then he grew up, bought Sunderland, turned everything around and assembled a squad good enough to do the double over them at the first attempt since our return to the Prem.

Not bad going that like!

A clever, clever goal that. Le Fee getting right back into his own half to take the ball, then sprinting into the box, knowing he'd be found and knowing what to do when he got there, the impeccable Xhaka having had the the calm to play a spot on through ball to duracell Sadiki. Brobbey's first effort was pretty good actually, the ball was right behind him and he did very well to get his first time effort on target.

But maybe my favourite bit of it was Willock's contribution. It encapsulated them totally. An attempted, over ambitious pass (for a player of his quality), then the interception, then Willock decides he'd think about having a slow trot back.

If he had got a wiggle on, he might have been able to put Sadiki off a bit, but maybe he was tired as he'd been on for 30 minutes by then. Then the pass out wide, then Enzo's nutmeg and Brobbey's finish. By then, the clearly exhausted Willock eventually arrives on the scene as the ball hits the net.

Out of either guilt or embarrassment, he then collapses as if he had been shot by a Japanese sniper. Fantastic. (Or maybe he really WAS tired!)

Brobbey was very clever with his first shot. He doesn't really try to hit it, he positions himself so the ball "hits" him to direct it where he wants it to go and he trusts the pace on the ball in. That helps with the rebound, more pace on it and the ball could ricochet away from him. But also if he tries to blast it or put more pace there's the risk he puts it wide. I will say that it was a pretty decent save from Ramsdale, but Brobbey's reaction was spot on. Watching it again let's you see it's actually a good piece of football all round making the most of the play.
