Spanish kind of has a point though. We've been terrible against a team that can't buy a win. Any kind of good wing play and a decent forward and we should be smashing them.

We're too slow, too predictable and too easy to defend against.
SD, Bigal is just being a bellend, for me, it's not a problem, doesn't matter what I say, he will go against it, c'est la vie!! Fantastic result in the end but why sugar coat it, just coz we are Town supporters. Sometimes, you have to say what you see, not what you want to see! I'd rather be honest, than blinkered!!

Anyhow, not seen feck all of the game, I'm on the p**s, whoop whoop. So when I say, say what you see....today I'm fecked, pmsl

Not been able to catch any of the game, but sounds like a laboured performance against a Sheffield Wednesday side intent to stick 11 men behind the ball and waste time.

A win was the minimum requirement against the basement boys - if we were serious about competing for automatic promotion. Glad we were able to get over the line and continue the unbeaten record.

We are fortunate this season where there aren’t two or three clubs hoovering up points like the last few seasons. Possibly an indictment on the clubs with parachute payments this year - particularly a hapless Leicester, Sheffield United, and a Southampton that suffered from a poor start. All those teams started with managers they arguably shouldn’t have hired.

All the other teams around us have dropped points this weekend, which is great. We should also be backing us to beat Millwall and Middlesbrough at Portman Road. Despite the loss, I can’t see Coventry dropping to the play offs. Will the other teams in and around us struggle with the pressure? I can definitely see Southampton as the danger team in the play offs come May.

Although we have high expectations - quite rightly after the money spent - and this side will always be compared to the promotion heroes from two years ago, we’ve got a knack for winning games. Automatic promotion would be a good achievement. I do worry about how this team will fare in the Premier League, but that’s an issue for the summer and beyond - if we can get over the line.

Anyway, in terms of this weekend - I don’t think we could’ve asked for a better set of results, other than changing the Norwich win to a 5-0 drubbing.

Also, the return of Philogene is well timed. Hopefully Nunez isn’t too far away from getting back in the team either. We’ve not looked as convincing in attack when those two haven’t played.

Nunez in the number 10 probably wasn’t the intention when he joined in the summer, but he does an invaluable job of stringing passes together and making us look more of a threat when we typically dominate possession. Philogene has also been a loss on the left hand side. He does a better job than Clarke with tracking back and defending, as well as his ability to score goals out of nothing - similar to Delap last season.

Whatever makes you happy-although I can't imagine a world where you being happy is actually a thing <cheers>

That's a relief, wish we would start games with a bit more urgency but can't complain with job done. And all the other results went for us too, setting up a very consequential next game out.

Barcelona are top of the table …
You got it nuggets, that brings the same joy to me, it's like I live amongst 100000 bigals and I'm bloody loving every minute of the last few seasons!! Madridistas can't handle it, their pain is my joy!!

A tough watch - perhaps the worst hour of football since Paul Lambert was at the helm - and now we’re two points off the Premier League threshold.

I thought that it was strategic to wear the opposition down by slowing stroking it around but no, McKenna says it’s tension.

Clear penalties are not awarded and blatant dives are awarded.

Dara O’Shea ending the game playing on the wing wasn’t on my bingo card.

Nothing makes any sense.

I’ve got an irrational hatred of Real Madrid, so anyone but them winning La Liga for me <cheers>

Great result and all things considered, and seeing how they were set up and 'played' I dont think we played that poorly. The first 20 mins we totally dominated. We lacked intensity in the first half and failed to use wings properly and struggled to play through a narrow uber defensive Wednesday side. We then lacked creativity as they used every trick in the book to slow the game down, play acting hilariously feigning injury, had a *** or two at throw-ins. Eventually the ref booked them for time wasting.

KM addressed issues with early subs with Burns. We miss Davis of course tho Johnson did well on balance, but he doesn’t have the pace to overlap like Davis does and make space for those around him. Lets not forget Johnson set up Azon for his well timed strike. How good to see Phillo back. Just need Nunez for for the final furlong, pun intended!
A word for Capt O'Shea who dominated our defense.
With all other sides dropping points around us, we can take heart and look frwrd to a bit of a break.KM reminded us that was 7 games in 21 days, quite mad!

3 very welcome points at a shamefully neglected Hillsborough, we had the usual lousy first half with plenty of possession but little goal threat and simple passes going astray, Sindre continues to struggle and fluffed one of the very few goal chances we had so no wonder he was subbed at half time.
The second half was better but worrying as Burns limped off and Philogene took a whack and didn't want the ball anymore, Johnson and Greaves did OK coming into the defence not that Wednesday carried a goal threat themselves, Azon went round the keeper and then shot wide before getting on to a Jonson cross and scoring from close range which sent the away end wild with relief more than anything else , the class acts on the pitch was Clarke and Matusiwa who shone above the rest and Jack was tripped for the pen which he put away easily.
So a happy away end but serious doubts over the quality of our team albeit weakened by suspensions, much to think about with crucial matches coming up fast.
