Matsuki could have gone, not Downes. Far better to have 11 v 11 than VAR nonsense either way.

Yeah I don’t think Downes was enough for a red, Matsuki probably would’ve been if VAR was involved, looked pretty innocuous in real time though.

Yeah bit of a joke. Do they really want 10 vs 9 in a game like this. It was a physical game but not dirty. The Championship is better without VAR

Not sure about that team at all. Not enough pace in it, surely playing on the break is our best option here?

Feels like there's a chance we could end up chasing the game and then those pacey players won't have as much space to work in.

Imo would have been better to start with pace, hopefully grab a goal and then bring on the players better at keeping the ball to try and defend it.

That's why I'm just a **** in the stands and not a football professional <party>

Peretz my MOTM. That save at 0-0 was genuinely world class and had they scored it, the game would have been totally different.
Definitely a world class save, but the one at 2-1 when the ball was pingponging around was even more important, and arguably better. MOTM by a mile for me, but there weren’t many others to choose from.

One thing though, the fact that Downes had a great game (and scored):, shows the importance of managing his yellows in recent weeks.

What do they know? Keep that nonsense out of our game!! It’s been a real treat this year not being put through the 5-8 min wringer for a final decision.

Just my opinion, but the Sky coverage has been heavily biased towards Coventry, and Limpard plays the cry baby well...
Sky is very bad at this, I cannot comment on today’s effort but in other sports they clearly focus on ‘their chosen one or team’ to the exclusion of others. Watching the PGA Golf coverage is an example, if Rory (and I really do like him!), is even several shots off the lead and another British player might even be level or just one shot behind, you’ll only get the Rory stuff.
