Just like old times at Ibrox. Only difference is that the fans used to fight outside the ground. The news report would be along the lines of "The police report there was little trouble and only 253 arrests were made". Seriously.
I can concur with this as I was there a lot of the time in the early 80’s, not Ibrox but Upton Park and anywhere else that the Inter-City train would take us :emoticon-0146-punch

That will be the end of away fans at the home grounds of the Old Firm then, for games between them.
Except possibly in token quantities, totally secured against pitch invasions or confrontations with opposing fans.

I'm guessing Owls fans would rather start next season with a 50 point deduction than see one penny go to Chansiri :emoticon-0172-mooni

Certainly a 15 point deduction is a bargain at £1m per point denied to the former owner.

I'm off to Colchester v Crawley.

It's a 20-minute drive from my Suffolk drum. I travelled up in order to feed the hedgehog, Herb, who seems to have woken up early.
Last year I saw a hedgehog in Suffolk, the last on before that was in1990, the day we moved house.

Although we live in the city we get hedgehogs in our garden now and again along with foxes, and frogs when it's particularly wet. :emoticon-0138-think

Blimey. On SSN they are going through the box of tissues getting over-excited by Spurs getting a point.

One point from their last seven games.
Yes, they did well at Anfield against a Liverpool team likely to miss out on all European football, they are so insipid.
But Igor Tudor still hasn't won a game yet.
And his debacle in the Champion's League won't just be forgotten because he got a draw today.

Wolves have become the wild card in the closing stages of the Premier League season.
Putting a spanner in the works of the ambitions of some other teams. Good luck to them in that respect.

Could Sheffield Wednesday do the same in the Championship?
They got a point last midweek, and I have noticed even their more recent defeats have been fighting ones, not abject thumpings.
When there is nothing left to lose teams can just start to enjoy the day sometimes.

Morocco have won the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations tonight.

What do you mean you didn’t realise it was being decided tonight ? Keep up for goodness sake. Calamity and Debacle are the words that spring to mind. And the good news is, that Senegal can and probably will appeal this appeal and may get the reversed result reversed.

And who wins the most out of all of this ? The bloody lawyers of course.

“Let’s kill all the lawyers”

This is a debacle, and it does reduce the African Cup to a laughing stock.
The Confederation is not fit for purpose it would seem.
Interesting that this story has not created a huge shockwave. Imagine the furore if UEFA declared the losers of the Champion's League Final and actually won the trophy.

In a much broader sense though (he types, heading off at a tangent) the Law and lawyers are increasingly being subverted to serve Political masters.
It's a gradual process, and not without push-back.
The Conservative-loaded Supreme Court in the USA declaring Trumps' tariffs illegal for example. He believed they would never oppose him.

But, by degrees, the Law is being pressured, eroded and side-lined to suit the agendas of Politicians, despite historical foundations of independence from such influence.
When Dictators rise, lawyers are killed. Along with intellectuals and all other free-thinkers. Then their books are burned.
Any philosophy which regards legal processes as a hinderance to be overcome, should take a very long, hard look at itself.

Apologies for straying off-topic.
This is a sad day for the African Cup of Nations.
And for Africa too as a whole. A Continent that has to struggle so hard to gain any credibility at all in the eyes of the rest of the World.

Interesting reading regarding Oxford. Wonder what our accounts will reveal, although of course they will relate to our last season in League 1. What will be more interesting, is coming back to this article after next years accounts are out.
