Tin hat time. If we don't go up I wouldn't mind Millwall doing so. The PL would hate it, the media would watch them like a hawk, and plod would be on high strength Xanax. Back in the day I went on coach to the old Den, the pillock. driver dropped us off at the wrong end. Plod escorted us through their fans to our end (probably deliberately), to say I was very quiet is like saying tomorrow is Thursday. :emoticon-0138-think

After the Bradford fire I had to attend the old den when my shifts coincided with a home match - it wasn’t a pleasant experience

Fireman? We celebrated promotion that day away to Brentford and in those days news was slow to come, no mobiles, internet etc. We didn't learn of the full horror until we got back to Hull.

could be a high score considering our defensive players starting - Gough, Coady and Gillesphey

Yes - it was an awful incident as was Hillsborough, my worse one was the Clapham train crash - probably why my glass is always half full <cheers>

Concentrating on the Oxford game it seems. Chambers and Gillesphey on our left, that's where Boro will be attacking us.

I was at Hillsborough, as a neutral, a mate was a big friend of Forest player Garry Parker from when he played for us, and he got us tickets. In July of the same year my mates van ended up in a ditch in Lincolnshire, they turned his life support off on the Sunday after his crash. The following Friday I was on a bike and a car ploughed into me. The surgeon told me one in four don't make it alive to the hospital with the injuries I had. I was in a wheelchair for over two years before recovering, and it's fair to say I've had better years than 1989. My glass is neither half full or half empty, crap happens, deal with it and move on and enjoy life.

I think near death incidents and witnessing traumatic incidents give you a different perspective in life - I do try and laugh at the ****e that comes my way because it’s normally trivial in the grand scheme of things <cheers>
