Failed pro.... Haha, again I know you're trying to look cleaver, but yet again you're just showing people just how much of a bell end you actually are.

Oh and I'd take failed pro absolutely every single day of the week, I've trained with, played with and been coached by some greats in the game. Unbelievably proud that I got to do the things I did and be involved with the club I've always supported. Played in both UK and abroad and then onto coaching and scouting.......You think calling me a "failed Pro" is taking a pop at me. Trust me, all it does is just show me and others just why we think you're a complete ****er and cement that opinion :)
I was just using your own words from the other day.

Good for you mate.

His save % is mid table in the league and that's his strength. He's an average keeper no matter how much you wail and gnash your teeth.

Not defending Howden as he doesn't need it, but Sydney, have a word with yourself. That comment is pathetic and indicative of why so many on here think you're an idiot. You do sometimes make good contributions rather than biting at everything, so why don't you just concentrate on that.
Howden himself joked the other day about him not being considered good enough to be a pro, I was just using his own observation. Terribly sorry if that offended. In fact I do try to avoid biting at everything but there's a group who need to disagree/bait me because of the poster not the opinion, makes it hard to not stoop to their level sometimes.

His constant need to talk down to people about goalkeepers as if he's the eminent authority and no one is allowed a contrary opinion is what's pathetic. Marv copped it the other day.

Eni Aluko played the women's game at the highest level but she's clueless as an analyst. We're all entitled to our opinion on here regardless of what we did for a living.

Just to spark the debate up again, having seen the replay a few times now I can sort of see why he was caught in two minds. The two defenders out on the left should have done more than waving their arms about and pointing to stop the cross coming in. Maybe panda was expecting their guy coming in at the near post to get to the ball and therfore covering his near post.

Anyway if the useless ****ers at the other end had hit the target rather than the woodwork we wouldn't be having this discussion,

I hope that wasn’t a veiled criticism of Joseph.

Howden has got his coaching badges, he literally is the eminent authority on goalkeepers, as per forum rules.

I’ve got loads of City badges so I’m an expert .
Actually an expert on everything until OLM puts me right with the correct data as I really can’t be bothered to trawl the net with precise numbers - I’ve got better things to do .

I've got a few hundred City badges, some rare and old and worth decent money, and I know **** all.

I used to collect 'Nookie Badge's when I was a sexual olympian:emoticon-0116-evilg...Sadly these days are distant memories and I've retired to the life of a Nepalese Buddhist Monk(The Ganja's good though):emoticon-0148-yes:

And before you go reaching out to Rab C Nesbitt's book of wisdom,it (Nookie Badge) is slang up here for a love bite...

Can’t remember who it was or if it’s just one of those fake quotes that go around but there was a player getting a lot of criticism and he said ‘I’m still closer to Messi than the average fan is to me’.

Even a ‘failed’ pro keeper is in the top 1% of people who have ever kicked a football in their life.
I get the same with my pro boxing career. It was shambolic, for a number of reasons, but when I signed Pro I was ranked 43 in England, 1, 2 and 3 was Eubank, Benn and Collins. I ask people how many times they stepped in a ring and how close they were in the rankings to those 3 blokes.

HT2 has every right to sit back and smoke a cigar for even getting to play at that level.

We have had some great goalkeepers at our club.
Tony Norman was always my personal favourite but I thought the Jak was right up there.
Pandur is a very good shot stopper but the other stuff does take away from him and I think hes about halfway up the list.
I get a feeling that come the summer he will be gone and next season I expect to see a few posts wishing he had stayed.
If we had a quality back up I think pandur would have worked harder to improve his overall game.

I wonder how much money Dowell is on. Some people questioned why we only gave him an 18-month contract but I think the club have played a blinder with that contract length. Best case scenario is we sell him in the summer to whoever will take him. Worst case scenario is we pay him for another 12 months and that’s it.

I can’t believe how **** he is. He doesn’t seem to have any redeemable qualities. In my head, he was a lazy but technically-gifted playmaker with a good shot on him and who could keep the ball and unlock a defence to supply our forwards. He’s worse than that. First touch is crap, can’t keep the ball and doesn’t link up well with our forwards on top of being slow, not athletic and lazy. At least Akintola is quick and tries.

We could sub off a player and not bring anybody on and it would be less damaging than bringing on Dowell. Playing with 10 men is preferable than having him on the pitch.
I did warn people. The club most certainly did not play a blinder, Rangers played a blinder getting rid of him, we’d have played a blinder by not signing him at all.

Jak has been my favourite City keeper...

I started watching when we had Ian McKechnie in goal, I guess we've been spoilt over the years with our goalkeepers since, but we've also had some real duds, I don't particularly rate Pandur among the great keepers but he certainly isn't the worst. In goalkeeping terms he is a young lad, cut out the dithering and improve his decision making and he will turn out to be one of the better ones given his shot stopping ability in my opinion. Sadly when ya make mistakes in goal it tends more often then not to lead to a goal conceded. Outfield players have the luxury of making lots of mistakes while not getting punished so severely most times. We are currently in a position in the league where no one if they're honest believed we would be, Pandur has at times contributed healthily to this, so perhaps we should acknowledge he is a work in progress rather then condemning him every time.
