I’ve seen enough of these injuries, watching Sunderland players hit the deck, to recognise what that was last night. From Big Bad Joe’s reaction, and that of Tonali, it’s 4/6 weeks minimum, in my opinion, but could even be ‘a Diarra’.

And it’s irrelevant how we rate him, he’s clearly a key player for Howe and performs a role none of the others are capable of. Not only that, the Mags have been bigging him up as the Derby Day Destroyer who’d dominate Xhaka.

They’ll have rolled their eyes when he went down and will be praying it was a precaution …

… at that stage of the game I think that’s a false hope, funny if it is.
