    Twenty-one years as a player for West Ham and four as their manager. They don't make them like that anymore.

    Until I moved in 2023 I'd still see him walking through Bromley. He could still do 90 minutes, he did not have an ounce of fat on him.

    I believe he lived around Chislehurst.

    Born in Woolwich, Charlton apprentice, amateur & first team professional 1964-67 before his move to the Hammers.
    A footballing legend.
