Storm Gilbert Number of deaths was low considering the intensity of the hurricane, with only 45 dead in Jamaica and hardly any injured. In the Agricultural Sector Gilbert left 2.1billion (JMD) dollars' worth of damage.

Things happen all over the world every year which doesn’t get the media coverage it deserves. Just because you were there doesn’t make it anymore a worthwhile event to the media. Google hurricanes in that part of the world and then come back and tell me it doesn’t happen annually. Losing a single life or property is a tragedy, for you to witness the devastation is tragic. If you choose to take offence at what I thought was a civil conversation says more about you than me.
