Most message boards have the 'that's me done I'm never posting again' types, and they invariably reappear shortly after. I'm sure there's a short Anglo-Saxon word that applies.

So, after all that, the Lardi Must Return As Mod bandwagon (ably assisted by his Campaign Manager SmudgedPants) turned out to be more of a shopping trolley, minus 3 wheels.

I don’t detect any groundswell of a popular uprising for his return, so let’s allow @Dick Plumb1 to get us back onto football, Charlton & sports - related threads.

We can all sleep easy at night now, knowing that we no longer have a Mod who moves our posts between threads like chess pieces at 3am.

When Lardi has finished with his latest Ted Heath impression he’s more than welcome to continue to post on here.

We now have the Ashes & Southampton at home to look forward to this week.

It is not about being a King, or being President.
Why do you persist in this delusion that being moderator here is the equivalent of being an all-powerful dictator?

It is a caretaking job.
