Quite the victory that a bloke who tried to murder multiple people happened to be born here as various terrorists* here in recent years have been. Probably not such a victory for the victims and their families but it’s apparently important. Children of migrants seem to be responsible for more terror than first generation migrants. So they’re brought up here in our system. Probably more of a concern if anything. The 7/7 bombers were British born from memory. *this wasn’t officially a terror attack for some reason.
It's important because Farage would have been desperately hoping that it was an asylum-seeker, or an immigrant at the very least. This is why they now have to disclose nationality and ethnicity and the earliest possible stage - to avoid rioting such as there was after the Southport atrocity, fuelled by social media lies. You seem to have decided that Anthony Williams was the son of an immigrant anyway, and probably a Muslim, so I guess it's OK to riot after all.
You’ve decided I’ve said a lot of things I haven’t said but that’s nothing new. I didn’t mention his religion at all and chances are he’s not a Muslim. Might be a convert, more than likely isn’t. We don’t know. You don’t have to be a frothing gammon to notice certain demographics over-index in certain violent crimes. It works both ways. When it was initially announced the Southport killer was from Wales there was genuine glee on the left.
Correct, we don't know, other than he's British. You went on about the 'children of migrants' as if this nutter was a second-generation immigrant and that this was a significant factor. This hasn't been disclosed though, as far as I'm aware. Probably not hard to find out, though. Nearly all of us are descendants of migrants at some level. I certainly am. How far does your heritage have to go back before you can be free of the 'immigrant' tag?
Ok but a lot of children of migrants i.e. second generation do seem to commit terror attacks. You’re right, I was wrong to imply this guy is second generation but the point stands. Lee Rigby, Manchester Arena, 7/7, David Amess etc. The data (which goes back to 2001) says most arrested for terror offences are British-born, which obviously includes far right terrorism. You’d think someone who has been here their whole life, educated here would be less inclined to be drawn into this.
Sometimes, as I suspect may be the case here, it's just a lone nutcase with no ideological or religious motives.
