We seem to be recruiting well off the field, to me that is a good sign. The August transfer window will be the proof in the pudding.
This season will indeed be very interesting. Another false dawn? Let’s hope Jones is backed . 4th from bottom should be accepted now if offered
With the squad as it is I'd bite yer hand off for 4th, but there must be a major strengthening to come surely?
I would take 4th from bottom right now. Gives us another chance, another year. But it will be a nervy and not very enjoyable season.
Not just that but the squad of 25, once fully assembled, needs to travel and develop together. It's going to take three windows and 15 months coaching plus 50-60 Championship games to get us to where we want to be. At some point in the future we may arrive at a point where only serious hard cash will improve us, especially on the creative side. Then we're talking of €3M fees and perhaps shopping in Europe? ****** Today's offering from Ridiculous, he just clutches figures from thin air!
@Typical part 2 the following is what the wum(which is all he is) posted the next day after Kojak was booted off. Jones, Coventry, Edwards and Doc stepping up in the Championship has certainly been a pleasure to watch. Add in Kaminski, Bell and Bree/ Apter and we're certainly very sound at the back. Nine games is a good place to judge. And we should now ask what might change, or will we remain one of the best defences in the Championship. Always said that we needed one win in three to stay up with plenty of room to spare. So far so good and the expected points in various sites confirms that this is no fluke! We fully deserve our current points tally. There's still a small risk of going down but there are clubs in a lot worse shape than ourselves. And we now have the League table confirmation that certain clubs carry a 40-50% risk of going down. That's not us! And it's interesting to note that many fans now expect our players to continue to improve. I've posted more than once before that next summer will be decisive. For that's an opportunity for the owners and football management to reward the best with new contracts, evaluate who has no future with us, and acquire new talent. But that's for 2026. Right now we're going good, plus we have a five year extension on the lease AND the average gate is around 21,000. This is our new reality, as opposed to predictions and projections. Mid table results and mid-table crowds. This after eight seasons in League One plus two Championship relegations. Think about that and then reflect upon what we've all seen these last two years since the takeover! No guarantees, but the owners now have a much clearer path to either a profitable exit, or push on next year towards the top of this division. Last Edit: 23 hours ago by seriouslyred **** What does this even mean? How does he arrive at this cobblers?
He is a pompous overbearing insufferable bore. It’s the sort of post that he willl go away and pleasure himself to. it’ actually makes no sense.
He could write a book and still say nothing. "And we now have the League table confirmation that certain clubs carry a 40-50% risk of going down". I would love for him to try and make sense of it, he talks as much bull**** as our Government and Mayor. I guarantee he's a leftie as well.
It’s verbal bullying designed to embarrass others. Say something pompous and clever even if it makes no sense, if nobody replies then I’m the smartest guy in the forum. Leftie!!! I guarantee he has a signed picture of Jeremy Corbyn and a Che Guevara poster in his bedroom.
You got all that including his political leanings from his post? I thought it was just waffle and bull sh*t
