Managed to clear the junk from about a third of the garage and built a rowing machine today. It's a start! I'm on meds that require a weight and blood pressure check every six months and I keep getting told off that my BMI is too high. I hit a milestone birthday at the beginning of the month. That's kickstarted me into making changes to try and lose some weight as I'm getting old!
I've tried Huel but things like that and especially protein shakes really should be no more than supplementary to proper food, rather than replacements imo
I take daily cod liver oil tablets to aid flexibility in my 62 years. 1st Sept 14st 5lbs, up a lb on last month... fitness going well
Just caught a glimpse of my reflection in the patio door. Time to tone down abit now i think. Ive smashed these last 2 weeks in the gym but its not a good look for me being too big.
My contribution. Swam over 58 lengths of the pool at the aquatic centre in an hour last night, 1450 metres (accidentally paused my fitness watch so missed a few lengths, at least 4). I'm aiming to get to 1600 metres, 64 lengths, by the end of the year
Been out of the gym for coming up to 3 weeks because of sciatica, can’t even get out for a walk, missing it like mad, I feel sluggish and in a constant low mood, I’ve tried stretching even swimming which I hate but nothing eases it. I can see how people quickly get depressed with something like this. Constant pain really drags you down, only good side is my daily basting with deep heat off the wife
