What's big money for Rugby League?
I'm not sure to be honest but he's reportedly turned down two offers of £500,000 from the NRL. Whether that's two offers combined i'm not sure.
Rovers offer won't be as much as that i'dve thought but it would still be a large amount.

I can see the draw of the NRL. The weekly standard of rugby is superior to Super League in my opinion.
The Aussie climate and lifestyle linked into a very attractive salary is bound to turn a players head.
Having said that plenty have taken the plunge to get homesick and return early.

Agree about NRL and Super League.
Maybe Mikey didn't think he was ready for Aussie yet and turned it down. Good on him for not taking it up, like you say, there's a lot of plus's for going.

I believe he has a young kid and he’s no longer with the mother, so if he went to Aus he’d almost certainly have to leave his kid behind. I can’t speak for anyone else, but for me that would be the only reason I’d need to turn down the money and stay at Rovers.

Like you said Rover, he’ll still be getting a generous salary here regardless!

I knew he had a son but thought he was still with his lady, you're probably right about that being the reason for not going.

Leigh threatening to not show up for the Wigan semi-final on friday due to "unacceptable" ticket allocation. Presumably they want more. Might be chancing their arm a bit imo.

Let 'em not turn up and see what happens to 'em. Whatever sport or league it is, no one club is bigger.

The rule is 10% of capacity, so they’re only entitled to 2.5K, they’ve been offered 4.7K unreserved seats or 5.4K reserved seats, the owner is embarrassing himself.

I wouldn’t mind but Leigh could barely get 3K to their home games a couple of years ago, so they’re only looking to accommodate their glory supporters.

Leeds would be offered the chance to play Wigan if Leigh carry out their threat, that would be an interesting one given they’ll have all been on the piss all week thinking their season was over!

Apparently it's all Wigans fault for putting a statement out that's not true.
Wigan are repaying money to Leigh fans for tickets bought because of safety or summat.
People who think they're big misters acting like ****ing schoolchildren. :emoticon-0145-shake

Wigan and Leigh are virtually side-by-side geographical, aren't they? Surely Leigh fans will be able to purchase tickets in the home stands!

Now that will really piss off Wakefield...I see some fat cat lawyers getting even fatter.

Apparently some have because there's a hell of a lot of empty seats all over the ground.
Wigans on about safety yet they're fuelling it with the Leigh fans buying seats in the home section.
