8 yrs ago in lefkada i was given tsipouro to try by a greek barman as a chaser to my vodkas. he said be careful its very strong. i ignored him and drank loads of them and got very very drunk. on the way home i collapsed 50 yrds from the villa and my wife couldnt move me. i was conscious but my legs simply wouldnt work. as if i was paralysed. i used to have a pal who when close to being drunk used to prop himself up against the bar. i remember one time asking why and he said when he gets drunk his legs stop working. as in legless. id wondered how that could be until experiencing it for myself. never had it since. maybe due to the respect i treat tsipouro with. i always ask whats your local firewater and the bottle under the counter often comes out.......with plantpot
I think you are right to a certain extent, although I just like pubs to do things right, and most do to be fair.

No way he should have avoided jail, but the other guy is also a **** for burning the Koran outside the Turkish consulate. Live and let live.
