He literally said that McBurnie was joining 'today' about three days before he joined (when it was obvious he was coming) and also said Collyer was the the training ground and signing.

I think he just makes stuff up to look like he's ITK.

Someone else on twitter was posting about Hughes going to Palace earlier, so he's just jumping on that bandwagon trying to strike lucky I think.

OK it's only rumour and supposition.. but losing Hughes would be disastrous in our position right now, being unable to bring in a suitable replacement of anywhere near the same quality, on a free or loan. Given how wide open we look without him, I'd like to think Acun sticks to his guns and supports Serj by keeping him.

Its not though is it.... we paid Wigan 4?... with a whopping sell on fee....lets say it was 40% (I have no idea)... so 14-4 = 10 - 40% is £6 million.. plus add ons....

For me, if he stays, it'll be Liverpool or similar that come for him. An ageing Van Dyke... look how Robertson improved when he went there..
 
I think that's a fairly decent fee for Hughes to be honest, you aren't going to get a huge amount more even if he stays another season - and that's a gamble in itself to keep him fit and in form.

For the team I wouldn't sell - but for the financials it probably makes sense, sadly. God knows how you replace him mind.

He's not going to a top 6 club. Not yet anyway.

Yeah, more the Hughes rumours I'm concerned about though... Will be difficult to bounce back quickly if he goes and we can't replace
 
There's no way Hughes is ready to step in and replace Guehi.

It's a lazy link to make. But if it were to be true then a loan back would make sense for both sides.

I'd still be extremely disappointed and think he needs a couple of years development with us before moving.
 
Be gutted if Hughes leaves this summer and concerned about the rest of the season. We won’t find another centre-half half as good on a free transfer or fee-free loan and Ajayi and Famewo just can’t seem to stay fit.
