More concerning with Downs is apparently he was Spors #1 target. I don't think we need to worry about anyone poaching our DOF
I know it’s all the fashion for some teams but I really don’t think 3 at the back suits us. You need fantastic wingbacks and your 10s have to be creative as well as able to finish. Your CMs need to be solid and dependable. For us our WBs are good but not great, they’re certainly not our strongest area. Playing CM is too restrictive for Fernandes BBD and Archer just aren’t 10s. It’s a formation for which we don’t have the players. The ONLY reason I can see for it is we have too many CBs in the squad and it’s a way to keep them happy. Our squad is set up for 433 / 4231 . Take off a CB, get Matsuki or Downes on and push Fernandes forwards.
