McKenna continues to misuse Clarke I see. Btw I instantly dislike this Birmingham team. Properly snide.
Players and coaches made it borderline impossible for 20 mins. 2 cards settled them right down.
Clarke has gone backwards imo. His touch was always sublime. Now it is a bit hit and miss. He could take the ball so tight and move it, now he has slowed down. Seems a bit slighter as well. Well, based on 40 mins anyway

What I will say is fair play to Birmingham and their fans. Made it an absolute nightmare first game for Ipswich

If Stansfield could hit the corners he would be unreal. A menace in every way, apart from snap chances.

Aye his graft level and back to goal stuff is genuinely superb.
Very nearly a superb player.
Can’t be a top player if you can’t finish properly.
Probably come back to bite me but I just don't rate Stansfield at all. Ball striking is so inconsistent. I get the owners are pumping huge money in but the money they paid for him was triple what I would've paid.
Talented lad but for a 20 million CF his finishing is poor. No surprise they are playing him deeper of the 2 CFs - do wonder if he will play wider at times as well
He cost more than our whole promotion squad put together
