Last year they invited 30 lads back after the Super 4s to pick the squad of around 18 players for the County Squad. I've kept an eye out on that cohort of lads via play cricket and they've played games against Northumberland, Cumbria, Yorkshire, Lancashire and a few others. If it's the same as last year they will be batting, bowling, fielding and doing a 1500m round the track out the back of the indoor nets at the Riverside. My lad has done really well this year. Played about 50 game for his club, including a couple of games for the first team (admittedly they were short with holidays), loads for the 2nd XI and midweek teams. He got a 49 for the 3rd XI Academy team on a Sunday as well. He's had 2 games for his Rockets team and got another 2 this Friday and is loving it.
