The old way I referred to was klopp going and getting Szoboszlai with no fuss or media needed. The club knew his release and met it. Same for nunez. It o yl broke when happening Macallister stuff was of course known about for months but known about from the other side imo. Same as gravenberch and thiago. Bayern were telling everyone and flying kites. I had assumed the wirtz stuff was a complete hissy fit by bayern but now it looks like we do the deals in public and push the pieces about for our advantage
I'd presume it gets sorted within the year but who knows? The terms might be anything. When certain players had career ending injuries you didn't really hear how it went so I'd only guess its similar to anyone else just a bigger settlement. It is what it is. There's no problem asking such a question at this point imo, we have seen the club and fans do their best over a tragic thing but the players have to train and play, the executives need to do deals and things stsrt to flow along as normal.
I assume the insurance would be on our valuation of the player or the cost of replacing him and in this case payment should be cleared straight away unlike the norm for this type of payment which would be for a career ending injury which will normally take.quite some time to resolve .
My own head logic based on absolutely zero information thought like your response solid it’s going to be one of those things that will be difficult to discuss but it will defo have to be at some point. I would have thought when the related set of accounts are released then we will know. I just wondered if anyone knew how these matters go in reality ?
In thst case it would be a fixed amount in a policy and they'd check the depth cert I expect? After that really im just guessing that lfc don't need it until end of June next year for the financial year. But who knows what's in the contracts and policies for sports stars
Id imagine it’s already being/been dealt with by people at the club who get paid to deal with that stuff. Thankfully as fans not something we would need to worry about. Clearly it hasn’t impacted the clubs finances so would prob be something I wouldn’t think too much about if I was you.
United renews bid for Mbuemo. Seems like they’ve been pushed to act a bit quicker with Newcastle’s link to Wissa as seems brentford don’t want to sell both so could start a bit of a bidding war between them even though going for different players.
Very odd behaviour. If you want him and move early on it then why not complete it or move.on. It feels like they have repeated the errors of the past. Tyre kick, let everybody know you are in then come back alter with a fsr higher final price and look stupid doing it. So many of their flops followed that pattern.
The max fee for ekiteke is apparently 86mil in real money or 100mil funny euro dollars. It seems to me that 34million saving (minimum) will cover guehi nicely. We will no doubt try very hard to get a discount or a payment plan or a swap in there. Is there anyone frankfirt might like to lessen this fee?
Gotta convince someone to go there in return. Only one I can see being willing (and we can do without) would be Morton. Would they like another CM?
I mean if I were Brentford I'd rather sell Wissa, but obviously they'd get more for Mbuemo. So depends if they want the money over the better player.
If Mbeumo and Wissa go Kelleher has joined relegation fodder. Didn't think it was the best of ideas when he went there.
Completely agree, ask them what they want for him and put the money on the table. He's quality, I'd have him at Liverpool but we're okay in that area.
Alisson Bradley guehi vvd kerkez Gravenberch macallister Salah wirtz gakpo Ekiteke Marmadashvilli, frimpong, konate, jones, Szoboszlai, diaz, elliott (for example) If you got that, kept the contract rebels by telling them to shut up and sit down and sold off a few more kids like doak and morton Well on a scale of 1 to 10 how excited would you be?
