Regardless of the clubs situation, if he's asking for stupid wages we're doing the sensible thing and saying no imo,

Think the fact others would be in for him and able to offer more meant this was all but inevitable anyway.

Strongly suspect the name was put out to give the illusion of ambition as opposed to any realistic prospect of him signing.

Especially after the **** hit the fan. We've become the second least attractive prospect for signings in the championship.

*Or in fact least considering Wednesday can't even sign frees.

The I'm glad we've walked away HT2... we create a precedent...

Hows the hand...?...

It's frustrating, still no real movement but it's early days, next operation is couple of weeks away to remove all the metal work and hopefully all the fractures are healed enough to start really pushing the fingers to start moving again. The surgeon has said I'm between a rock and a hard place ATM....the bones need to be stopped from moving to heal, but the ligaments, tendons, nerves etc need to be encouraged to move to help recovery and the longer they go without movement the harder it gets etc....

I'm used to damaged / broken fingers from my playing days but Jesus this is something else haha. I wouldn't wish a crush injury on anyone

I'm sure you'll get there.... the pain of your hand might distract you from the mess...

Sounds crap
Going to be painful physio when you get them moving, but worth persevering with.
Hope the next op goes to plan

No doubt about that but if he's asking for even stupider wages.....gotta be a line somewhere. As a FAT he's holding all the cards and will no doubt end up with silly money from someone, prob 3 year contract as well taking him in to his 30s and a decent signing on fee too

bullard level wages I’m told. Happy to be proven wrong

No, but it does hinge on us signing 1 - or preferably 2 - decent strikers. Any decent frees available?

There’s actually a substantial amount of quality available on free transfers, but also a substantial amount of interest and any player we approach is going to be wary of signing for us unless we offset that doubt with more money.

It all hinges on what the EFL are going to do, but that decision is at least a week away.

I think Zac Jagielka is flying out with the first team, be interesting to see if he can cope at a higher level.

Ive heard he's been very impressive in his time here...

We best get him tied down ASAP

Well, if a Category 1 club arrived there’s bugger all we could do as he’s a second year scholar who hasn’t signed professional terms yet. In fact the only youth player who has signed professional terms so far (AFAIk) is Stan Ashbee.

Norwich, Everton…anybody with a Category 1 academy could snap ZJ up for peanuts. We had it with Harry Cardwell when Reading signed him (and to a similar extent Jack Barmby and Dan James)

you know, he will play really well in turkey, prob get us fans a bit excited and then a cat 1 team will come and get him for nothing
its the city way:1980_boogie_down:
