Jones distribution last season was appalling. He tried to be more expansive alongside Hughes but every long ball either went into touch or through to their keeper.
He’s a solid defender but if we got a fee for him and Semi for nothing (?), I’d say we’ve done ok out of the deals.
Was speaking to Hughes a couple of weeks ago at his new house in Cottingham. He and his partner sounded settled. He’s from Warrington and she’s from Edinburgh.

That’s reassuring to know. A lot of our players (and head coaches!) have been living out of suitcases and cardboard boxes in the last few years. If he and his partner have bought a house locally, it’s a good sign he doesn’t expect to move clubs soon.
