although he wasn't driving on that fatal night at the young age of 29...

There was a lass in our group of friends that was obsessed with Bolan, she went into proper mourning when he died, it was as if it was a close family member, nowadays she would have had some kind of therapy for it, she went into a real depression.
When I was young, I used to have to sometimes stay with an aunt who had three daughters (cousins), one or maybe two of them were madly into Bolan, just the same...hence why I remember his death so well, probably.
Got some T-Rex vinyl singles in the loft ... Hot Love, Metal Guru, Jeepster, Children of the Revolution, Get it On ... unfortunately the thing I remember most was the rather tasteless joke that went around after his death...

We read a book for GCSE about cricket and the main character was called Bolan. Not even a joke. Was an ok book.
