I would agree that Man U have a larger fan base and history, but in terms of ambition, I would rather go to Chelsea right now. Man U are such a car crash right now that money really does seem like the only reason to choose them. Maybe comeptition for places as well, but if you're ambitious, you've got to back yourself.
Think the latest was that he said something like, he doesn't know where he's playing next season. Sounds like he's shopping around, trying to drum up interest elsewhere, probably cause he wants to actually win a trophy.
If he pulls out of the Arsenal transfer, you'd have to question whether he wants to leave Sociedad at all. As for what you say about Real, if they want him all they have to do is wait until his contract is up and take him on a free. That's their style.
