It's funny about it. I hate us playing that way. Felt like the Alamo lots of the time and probability usually means a ball rolls over the line. That said the defence was that good Patterson didn't have a lot to do, which is surprising given the amount of ball and territorial advantage they had.

Reminded me of Mourinho performance
It was almost like a perfect European away leg game

Spot on mate. It's funny the bickering and posts of that ilk only come from the same 3 or 4.

Anyway, great result, sets us up for Tuesday. Should be good. Got the biggest work presentation ever on Wednesday morning too haha
Good luck mate haha

To play on the break the other team need to be attacking. Early season, when at our best, we soaked up attacks and killed them on the break. Our attacking strength is that style of play.
A word on Roberts. I’ve warmed to his defensive game and he did well with this last night so not saying he was bad but if he was any use around the box we’d have finished this tie off.

Roberts defensive work is as weak as his attacking threat, We have to thank Ballard and O/9 (the real captain of that team) for that win not REG who seems unable to pick a team without Roberts , and until the penny drops he wont get my full support . I still think we can get there but by doing it the hard way. so unnecessarily imo. . OaU

on that note imagine if that final chance for Mayenda had gone in. Their keeper (who was useless) managed to save it but going in 1-3 would have been amazing
Think there’s no doubt chances wise. We created far more than they did. Their only clear chance was the one they scored. There were 3 or 4 for us!

Oh and I have a headache! Absolutely worth it though!!

I forgot about that chance in the midst of the celebration in the stands. We could’ve nicked another. Fantastic performance

I get your view on Robert’s and I share it but that game was RLB’s tactics executed brilliantly. RLB does deserve the credit. He deserves it for getting us to the playoffs with ease in his first season in the league where he’s taken on a shambles of a side from last year. He deserves credit for using the previous 5 games in the way he did. It’s now paying off. Players are so up for it. Great season thanks to RLB.

It seems jinxes, 'typical Sunderland' and bogey teams are a thing of the past <cheers>

That’s boro double done, beat Coventry away, beat Swansea, stopped the rut against Cardiff of winning and losing one game each to name a few

oh and both strikers scored last night despite being crap a couple weeks ago
