I find this interesting that Baz has turned on Acun given historically he’s been a mouth piece for him

Don't think he's turned at all. He's generally been matter of fact and not personally critical but expressing concerns over scattergun recruitment, massive player turnover, wasteful signings and the financial losses is nothing new.

I know some like to dismiss him as Acun's boot boy but I'd you've got the owner calling you then there's no journalist that isnt going to report it.

One thing that comforts me a little bit if Acun was to leave, he's much, much more well connected in the world than Allam's ever were. I think if/when he wants to get rid (personally think this is very soon), he will find it much easier to line up a buyer for us.
fingers crossed because the alternative isn't pretty.

I agree with your last sentiment but most of the criticism has been stuff that’s historically in the public eye. Like the transfers taking a while or the decision sack Rosenior. Commenting on what he perceives as internal structure is a bit left field for him unless I’ve missed previous comments

Think a lot of people cling to sound bites and don't pick up on the caveats.

He was decidedly neutral over Rosenior as I don't think it was a surprise that the relationship between coach and owner had broken down, but he was pretty critical over Walter and the summer widow. He was also saying we were sleepwalking to relegation long before Walter was sacked.

Yeah but you can see my point that criticism about sleepwalking into relegation is fairly standard given the form and the performances. It’s also not really a comment on Acun directly.

Him saying about Acun being a man that basically whistles to his own tune is a bit out of sort for him in my opinion

Guess he's trying to balance not alienating a source and being banned like his predecessor and trying to be a credible journalist.

Tbh I still don't think he's stated anything much beyond the obvious.

Hopefully there is a buyer in the wings and he's feeling a little freer to express an opinion, but I must say I'm sceptical, especially if we are a league 1 club.

You’ve just answered your own question. It’s common knowledge he used a loan to buy the club from the Allams (reported as £20 million for the club itself + £20 million to write down the outstanding debt to Allamhouse). Our accounts for 23/24 and 22/23 are public. We’re losing close to £500,000 per week. He doesn’t have enough money to fund the club out of his own pocket so he’s using loans from creditors to bankroll the day-to-day expenses and transfers.

To what end? Loans have to be paid back. So where’s the money coming from? Commercial lenders wouldn’t be throwing money at us they’re never going to get back.

The money would come from asset sales or the premier league money when we...

...oh, wait.

And the lenders aren't throwing money at us, they're securing commercial loans against Acun Medya.

Club in it's current state would struggle to borrow anything.

But then Jones was our worst player when he came on as a sub against Derby. Gave away a silly foul for the goal, lost his man for the goal, blazed over ridiculously.

Jones went from starting nearly every game before the March international break to losing his place in the side to Egan. Don’t get me wrong, Egan’s done alright since coming in but I find it odd. Howden and ST share info they hear and more often than not, they’re right. I don’t get the hostility to posters on here who share information they’ve heard from within the club that isn’t public knowledge, especially when they’ve been correct most of the time. Apparently, it’s all ‘bullshit’ and they just want to cause drama. Think a lot of you have just got your heads in the sand and don’t want to believe the worst.

The worst comes with relegation. It hasn't quite happened yet.

Commercial lenders often loan money to football clubs based on forward funding i.e. future revenue streams like high-value players. I would say the loans Acun took out to initially buy the club were secured because of the likes of Lewis-Potter and Greaves being high-value assets we could sell.

Selles has been swopping and changing the team every game, almost if he was picking names out of a hat.
Listen to his post match interviews he could bore the hind leg off a donkey, want to know why we are so bad after the half time break? just listen to the bloke.

I guess. I’ve always noticed with Baz that if you watch or read his content often enough you can find cryptic messages and stuff like that falls into it for me.

I've heard reports that our players are pissed up and on the coke at Treehouse on Friday nights. Any truth to this? Pretty disgusting and disrespectful to the club if true. No wonder they are lethargic on the pitch.

Take it with a pinch of salt. Similar stuff goes round at every club when they're staring relegation on the face and they're copping some flack.

No one gives a **** when they're doing well.

I'm taking all the rumours with a pinch of salt but I wouldn't be surprised if any of it is true. I'm sure alot of stuff will come out in the wash after the Pompey game.
