Season best performance defensively. Bergvall was immense again. Udogie had his best game for months.

That’s a seriously gritty performance in the rain at that stadium. Far from the best, though we haven’t been anywhere near that for a while, but got the job done.

A fair few players who have been under par stood up tonight. Notably the spine of the team - Vicario with some good reflex saves, Romero with a classic full blooded performance and the pass for the penalty, Maddison with the run for it, Solanke to keep his head for the pen, Bentancur again good in the midfield. I thought Udogie and Porro had their best games for a while too. Kulusevski was a bit disappointing on the ball when he came on but showed the physicality to match Frankfurt at home.

Solanke my MOTM for the pen and for leaving nothing out there.

    European semi final baby!! COYSSSSS

Ange deserves his flowers for that one

A little rough around the edges in places, but showed tactical maturity when it mattered

The bit was well and truly between the teeth tonight. Rode their luck for a fair few moments but hats off. Great performance.

Bergvall too I should mention. Wasn’t as visible tonight as in other games but he knits everything together so well. He’s a gem.

I think that we were the much better team over the two legs.
They had tons of the ball in the second half but created very little, other than the odd deflection.
Kristensen had the best chance but that was from nothing and the finish was awful.

Hate to say I told you so, but I did say a while ago that you had a good chance of progressing far in this competition and so many of you shut me down...don't suppose I'll be getting an apology, ey? <laugh>

I know you're 15th in the league right now, but your players are clearly much better than that and at least they've shown that tonight.

It is perplexing though how you look so kamikaze defensively in the league, but have looked a lot smoother and more resilient in Europe...
