keen to start at the bottom and work his way up the leagues then. I’d consider leaving my assistant post with the u17s and kick start my management career with saints as well.

Yeah I saw on the Wednesday forum this morning that they were interested.

Was always likely we'd not be the only ones chasing him.

If this means we get Cooper I won't care. I do wonder how much we stood to save by appointing rohl as a championship club. It would be yet another cock up if we lost our primary target because of £1m or £2m.

    Talk is it's £4m or £2m.

Said months ago we shouldn't be ****ing around like we did last Summer with technicalities etc - not that I'm saying what's happened here.

We haven't even been remotely linked with Cooper though so we may not be interested in him.

Rohl would’ve known if there was interest in him back in December. No way he would’ve committed to us then when we were down. Good chance he would’ve had calls for him to be sacked now as well if we did appoint him in December.

Pretty sure he wanted to join back then and was pissed that the owner didn't let him. That how Wednesday fans interpreted the situation at least.

I know it was a long time ago and he has probably learned a lot but he did get a good Boro team relegated.

Tend to agree, I reluctantly put Dyche. I know the football will be pragmatic and dull, but will still be better than watching Martinball. Dyche achieves as a rule

Not saying we have. But the only manager we have a definite interest is Rohl, if he goes elsewhere then Cooper is as likely as anyone and would be top of my list.

The latest rumour is our “long list” is Rohl, Rosenior, Wagner and Lampard. The only one of those who would officially join us before early June is Wagner. We’ve got a couple of months of awesome speculation incoming

I said ages ago that I'm not convinced we would go for or get Danny from wednesday. It will be another relief unknown imo

If we get Wagner, there is zero chance of me renewing my season ticket.

On 29 May 2017, Huddersfield secured promotion to the Premier League for the 2017–18 season, following a victory on penalties in the play-off final against Reading.[22][23] On 30 June 2017, Wagner signed an improved two-year contract.[24] He was praised for his achievements in keeping Huddersfield in the Premier League at the end of the 2017–18 season, a feat regarded by bookmakers as improbable and described by The Guardian as "the Premier League's greatest survival story", with Wagner in particular noted as "a leader of rare charisma and intelligence."[25]

    Sounds alright to me

We'd have more chance with Mickey Rooney, and he died in 2014.
