Unrest in my neck of the woods with Starmer. Bolsover, where Dennis Skinner served, is back in labour hands, but a number of councillors have resigned this week from labour to stand as independents. Citing the policy on welfare cuts. Also some angst about the MP being hard to get hold of. She has a hard gig though trying to follow Skinner.

I worry the concept of your local MP is being lost. A bit like a local bobby has been. We had a conservative MP for a long time who was always available when needed. I have in the past done my share of community work and she was always supportive. I wonder if some of these newer politicians are really in the job to serve their communities? Or is it another path to celebrity or riches? Either way it is really difficult to argue the modern politician is as good as ones we once had.
Skinner, what a MP and person,me and my late father’s political hero, current rabble of sh** not in the same universe as the Beast

The last TV show that got people talking was the Post Office scandal and that's going well for those still waiting for their compensation, being ground down with the P.O. and their owners the government hoping to pay the littlest amount possible.
Starmer loves a photo opportunity, following it up by actually doing something is another matter.

Is he on drugs?

I’m 7 months into my job search now and still no signs of securing one, looks like I’ll just have to bite the bullet and retire early :emoticon-0136-giggl

And he will bail Thames Water out to the cost of £2billion, so they can still give dividends to their share holders

Like he said, things are getting better, he didn’t say who for, but I imagine he means himself, Barry White and the pit pony.
