And before the election in July 2024 the Tories had witnessed two periods of moderate growth. The numbers started on a downward trajectory when the worst ever female Chancellor screwed the economy; and there is more to come when her tax rises come into effort in April. Still no sign of that £22bn black hole. Or the fastest growing economy in the G7. Or the £300 off energy bills. Or the tens of thousands of high pay jobs. Sir Keith Stalin will keep playing the “more money in the pocket of working people” card and ignoring the more money than that going out of their pocket as Rachel from Accounts counts the chickens coming home to roost and even gets the numbers wrong on that.
