I remember when SD took over and the euphoria that Short had finally gone. Then it came out that his last club was Eastleigh and he owned a small insurance company. Even then a lot said it didn’t matter just as long as he could run the club. I can honestly say that I wasn’t sure. I really didn’t think he knew what he took on. He liked the idea of playing football chairman but that was as far as it went.
Back when Ross was manager the K clan were back in England and we managed to meet SD. He actually came across as a decent friendly bloke but that shouldn’t be an indicator of his ability to run a football club. Especially SAFC with its history. Anyone who says KLD doesn’t know what he’s doing should think about where the club would be now if SD and CM were still in charge. We’d likely have the biggest stadium in non-league history.
Anyway, here’s a photo of us all on the pitch. If you remember the outtake on STID series 2 when he went arse up trying to kick a football, we were standing just out of the camera shot.

Agreed, signing two strikers doesn't make sense. Danns could offer us something but I'm not sold on him.
