If he's just leaving for the money, good luck to him, we need players who make better decisions than that.
This is when having faith in the club makes life so much easier. It saves all that tortured pondering and speculation, my only concern is how we play at Boro. Watson will be the last thing on my mind ... ... I don't care if he's local and talented, I've seen them come and go.

Yes definitely the clubs model, but does he really lose that much value between now and the summer if he stays and contributes another 5 goals/assists? I’m not sure we can replace the lads potential with 2 days to go despite the fees being mooted.
If he’s not going to get gametime at either he might as well go to one where he’s A) earning more B) training with better players and C) able to be loaned out. Not sure why so many people find that so difficult to understand to be honest lol it would a no brainer for me.

However, the club/RLB don’t seem to see the need to bring in a full back and RLB has said ideally they bring in 1 for ST/RW, although they may end up being 2 players.

If Watson doesn’t want to be here and backs himself to get game time at a premier league club as long as we are well compensated then good luck to him, ultimately I only care about the 11 lads in red n white that want to be here and their back up each week

that’s not entirely true though, we’ve lost a fullback, two strikers and potentially a left winger this month.
