A Ryan Giles type wouldn't be bad either. Cover at left back as well as left midfield/wing. Someone who can pick your pocket with his left foot.
I doubt there’s many left backs with the quality of his crossing available. Only a few more days of this window remaining
Young loanees usually come late in the window. I still think Omer has a trick up his sleeve. Another one like the first two and we can't complain.
Looks like Swansea are robbing Coventry of 4m for Matt Grimes. Good deal financially for Swansea but lose a few more and they are right in the relegation. Why Coventry are paying that sort of money for a near 30 year old though is anyone's guess.
And it gets better. Desperate for a midfielder, they're shelling €3M for Swedish U21 player..... ......then sending him straight back on loan.
My guess another 9 stone weak player easily knocked off the ball. Has Eom got up yet after running into Joe Ralls?
Saw the report that reckons Sheff Utd and Birmingham are sniffing around the little wilting flower that is Harry Darling too.. by all accounts he 's out of contract at the end of season so they may have to cash in there as well... Their board are beginning to make ours almost look competent!!
Siopis on his way out? https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/cardiff-city-star-manolis-siopis-30895864
Timing wrong again. He didn't fit the play under Bulut, and seems more suited to our current style. Break up play, give it to the front 4. What he does for Greece. With the reinvention of Chambers and the arrival of Mannsverk, his game time would be limited, even though his performances of late have been better. What I assume is a decent wedge off the wage bill and maybe a fee. He get to return to his homeland. Win, win. Good luck to him. Decent enough for us, even if he didn't hit the heights expected.
Loved his committment but he couldn't influence a game positively - he was an "Alamo" character who would have done well at Rorke's Drift Utd. We've had far too many similar midfield destroyers at the club before him like Arter and Vaulks whilst seriously lacking in midfield creativity. Whitts was the last and Ramsey should have been but never was. The very best of luck to Siopis whose personal cheery character probably outshone his ability and ultimately his influence on the pitch.
See my post on .Monday 6.19pm You're welcome. Be good if we got some cash for him although part of the strange agreement when we signed him (it is said he paid up his contract in Turkey to join us) could have been that we let him go home to Greece if the right club came in for him. Good luck to Manu. As others have said, it never quite worked out with us but you could never fault his enthusiasm and commitment. Anyway that's one set of kit they can return to the 10 year old age group in the academy.
Always loved watching the short video clips of him and Goutas answering questions about Cardiff and Wales sayings etc. Had md in stitches
In the grand shape of things it’s a good move for the club; freed up some wages and presumably a transfer fee. He was a bit of a square hole in a round peg for City - worked hard, gave it his all but wasn’t that influential on the pitch. BOL to him
Gutting to see him go in terms of his personality and commitment, there haven't been many bigger characters in the team since he arrived. Has given his all and going to a club like Panathinaikos is an honour for him I'm sure. Good luck Sio and thanks for the memories, you have been a true gent.
Looks like we've p1ssed off the JB's properly now hahahhahaha evidently Grimes was a sh1te player who's been the cause of all their problems for years!! No mention of his excellent stats. bitter JB's, who'd have thought eh?
I'm sure Frank will soon cure him of that. Didn't they just play posession footy and bore everyone to sleep?
